Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

You specialise in taking down specific targets for payment, discreetly and indiscreetly. You normally work alone to eliminate all variables and possible others vying for your money from a bounty but this rule isn't set in stone.

Dead or Alive

As a bounty hunter you've learned how to gain benefits against the target of your bounty. You can mark them for a deadly and efficient demise.

Starting at 3rd level, when you roll initiative you can choose one creature you can see to be marked for bounty. This mark lasts for one minute and can be used an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus. Placing a mark in this may doesn't use a charge. If the marked creature dies before the mark ends, you can use a reaction to switch it to someone else. You may also use a bonus action to switch your mark to someone else, however, changing your mark in either of these ways will use up a charge of your marks. All charges are regained after a long rest. You gain certain benefits against your marked target.

  • When you place or change a mark, you can gain advantage on one Dexterity ability check of your choice and one other ability check at the DM's discretion. The ability check the DM chooses is one they believe the marked target would be susceptible to in some way. You can only roll these abilities with advantage when they're being used against the marked target. When the mark runs out, you lose the advantages.
  • When you successfully attack the marked target, you can roll extra d6 equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded down). The damage type is equal to the weapons damage type.
  • You can now use the help action as a bonus action if it's to help someone weaken your marked target.

Hunter's Senses

Through your expertise as a bounty hunter and your understanding of the underworld, you have an uncanny sense towards people's weaknesses, whereabouts, and routines. Starting at 3rd level, once per long rest, and at the DM's discretion, you may find out one piece of information about an enemy that normally wouldn't be available to you. Roll a d20 to determine the importance of the newfound information.

Skiptrace

After tracking down and hunting so many bounties, your experience has allowed you to further refine your sixth sense for your target.

Starting at 9th level, you have advantage on survival ability checks made to find something or someone and intimidation checks made to extract information from someone. You can also add 1d4 towards rolls for your Hunter's Senses subclass feature. Rolls for your Hunter's Senses feature cannot exceed 20 though.

Eyes on the Prize

You've better learned how to take down an opponent through marking them with your brutal and lethal attention. Starting at 13th level, your Dead or Alive subclass feature now has more benefits to it.

  • You gain a bonus to all attack rolls against your marked target equal to your proficiency bonus.
  • You gain a bonus against all saving throws initiated by your marked target equal to your proficiency bonus.

Outlaw

You've turned the act of bounty hunting into an art. From your tracking abilities to how easily you take down everyone at the end of your proverbial sights.

  • Starting at 17th level, you now have unlimited uses of your Dead or Alive subclass feature.
