Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

You have made a pact with an Arkborn, a being of pure electrical energy originating from the Quasi-Elemental Plane of Lightning. In exchange for its destructive power, it has made a conduit of your body.

Feedback

The Arkborn co-occupying your body lashes out in response to danger. Whenever you take damage originating from a creature's attack, that creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, they, along with any other creature within 5 feet of them, take 2d4 thunder damage as a shockwave sweeps out from beneath their feet.

Rising Storm

The Arkborn's gaining strength grants it the ability to amplify your spells with a pool of reserve electricity. You gain the following benefits:
Whenever you make a spell attack, you can change the damage of that spell from it's original damage type to lightning or thunder.
If you make a spell attack and the damage type is already lightning or thunder, it gains an additional d4 lightning damage.

Stormtrance

The Arkborn is strong enough to control a physical form. As a bonus action on your turn, you can enter a Stormtrance for 1 minute, as long as you are not currently wearing armor and have both hands free, as the Arkborn takes partial control of your body. When you do so, you gain the following benefits:
You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
You can focus chain lightning onto an enemy within 15 feet. As an action, you make a ranged spell attack against the target. If it hits, the target takes 2d8 lightning damage, and then the lightning arcs to the nearest target within 10 feet, dealing half the original damage. This lightning may keep arcing until it either runs out of targets or the damage lowers to 1. On subsequent turns until the Stormtrance ends, you can use your action to continue to automatically hit with this chain lightning on the same target as long as they remain within range. For every subsequent turn that the lightning remains focused on one target, the damage increases by 1d8 lightning damage.
The Stormtrance ends early if you hold something in one ore both hands or don armor that does not originate from the Mage Armor spell. You can use this feature once per long rest at 10th level, twice per long rest at 14th level, and three times per long rest at 18th level.

Perpetual Charge

The Arkborn occupying your body is now powerful enough to bend the storm to its will. You gain the following benefits:

Your lightning and thunder damage ignores resistance and treats immunities as resistance.

Any lightning or thunder damage you deal gains chaining properties identical to those from Stormtrance's chain lightning attack

Expanded Spell List

The Arkborn lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.
