Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

While the feats of strength commonly associated with barbarians are well-known, there are reclusive tribes of warrior women who are no less powerful than their male counterparts. Sometimes called amazons, they devote themselves to the art of warfare, and they have learned to channel their rage for more than mere brute strength.

The path of the amazon is pursued almost exclusively by female barbarians who are wary to share the secrets of their training with outsiders. While only tradition prohibits males from following this path, exceptions would be exceedingly rare.

Rage of the Amazon

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you've learned to channel your rage for more than merely feats of strength. While raging, in addition to the normal bonuses you receive you also have advantage on Dexterity checks and Dexterity saving throws, and your Rage Damage applies to melee and ranged weapon attacks using Strength or Dexterity.

Additionally, when you make a Reckless Attack, you have advantage on melee weapon attacks using Strength or Dexterity during this turn.

Bond of Sisterhood

Amazons train to fight side-by-side from childhood, and at 3rd level, your fighting instincts and reflexes have been honed to the point that you can cover for your allies and take advantage of openings they create. When an ally within 5 feet is hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to switch places with your ally and become the target of the attack instead. The attack automatically hits you even if it would not have met your armor class.

Likewise, when an ally within 5 feet hits an opponent within your melee range, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against the same target.

Reactive Rage

At 6th level, your reflexes and your rage are perfectly in sync, and you're ready to leap into a fight at the slightest provocation. You can use your reaction to enter a rage after initiative is rolled, or when you've been attacked or included in the effect of a spell or ability that deals damage.

You must choose whether to enter the rage before you know whether you're hit by the attack or before you roll for a saving throw, if any.

Agility of the Amazons

By 10th level, you have learned how to perform all sorts of maneuvers without entirely sacrificing your offense.  When you take an action during your turn, if that action was not an Attack action, you can use a bonus action to make a melee or ranged weapon attack.

You can use this bonus action to make an attack before taking your action, but then that action cannot be an Attack action.

War Cry of the Amazons

Once you reach 14th level, you have learned how to unleash a trilling cry that stirs your allies into a battle frenzy. As you enter a rage, each ally within 60 feet that can see or hear you can choose to enter a rage themselves, using their hit dice as their barbarian level to determine bonus rage damage. If the character entering a rage this way is also a barbarian, they benefit from any additional effects or abilities they would normally receive from entering their own rage. Characters that cannot ordinarily rage simply benefit from the default barbarian rage.
