Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Mage Hunters are not naturally made. Infused with an evil wizard's power, you are able to feed off of magic in order to thwart casters' defenses and shrug off their attacks. With this magic you have been infused with, and the magic you steal, you are able to empower your attacks and prevent enemies from casting spells.

Spellcasting

Mage Slayers can learn spells from the Wizard spell list.

Arcane Feast

You can add your half of your Intelligence modifier (rounded down) to attack and damage rolls with weapons that have the finesse property.

At level 5 this feature improves and your attacks become magical in nature as you learn to channel the magic you have stolen from your enemies. If an enemy has spell slots you can sneak attack even if you don't meet the usual criteria.

Know Your Prey

You gain proficiency in Arcana.

Furthermore, you have learned how to suppress your presence from detection against spellcasters. Enemy spellcasters have disadvantage on Perception checks to find you.

Ephemeral Garrotte

You learn how to stop an enemy spell being cast. If an enemy is within 60 feet, you can use a spell slot of any level to cast Counterspell. Make an Intelligence check against the enemy's spell level [DC= 10 + Spell Level] to prevent them casting it. For every level above your 3rd spell slot that you use for this feature you gain +1 to your roll. [Eg: You cast using a 4th level spell slot. Save DC becomes 10 + enemy spell level -1.]

You can use this feature an amount of times equal to your half of your proficiency bonus (rounded down) per long rest.

Spellblood

The magic within your body has infused every atom of your being, giving you extra strength to resist spells directed at you. You gain advantage against all spells directly aimed at you.

Leyshatter

If the target of your attack is a spellcaster, you can critically strike on a roll of 19-20. Furthermore, your critical strikes will burn your enemy's lowest level spell slot, damaging them for 1d6 per slot level.
