Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of Foils are excellent at reading people and are destined to embody the antithesis of a creature who wrongs or aggravates them. Most creatures and folk have both certain weaknesses and strengths, whether they be emotional or physical. The College of Foils teaches bards to pinpoint where a creature excels and falls short in its abilities and to embrace the very opposite for themselves.
Many folk are easily angered and offended by College of Foils bards, because they often convey that which one detests or lacks in oneself. Because of this, College of Foils bards find friends hard to come by, but once they are made, this type of bard will ensure that it's friends' weaknesses and strengths reach their full potential.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Foils at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with the Insight skill.
Perfect Foil
Beginning at 3rd Level, you can form a connection to those you encounter, causing them to be your perfect foil. On your turn, you can connect yourself fatefully to one creature of your choosing, as a bonus action. Once a creature is connected to you, as your Perfect Foil, you gain a bonus to any attack rolls or skill checks targeting the connected creature. The bonus increases as you gain levels and is shown on the Perfect Foil table below.
Your connection to your Perfect Foil lasts up to 1 minute. It ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if your turn ends and you have failed to interact with your Foil.
When a connection is made with a Perfect Foil, the target knows a spell has been cast on them and may react hostilely in the instance of a failed skill check such as Deception.
Once you have connected to a Perfect Foil the maximum number of times shown for your bard level in the Perfect Foil table below, you must finish a long rest before you can connect again.

Opposing Force
Beginning at 6th level, you learn how to use your foes' attacks against them, by inflicting damage in return for being hit. As a reaction, when a creature that you are connected to as a Perfect Foil damages you, expend one use of Bardic Inspiration and inflict damage on the creature that attacked you. The damage is equal to the number rolled on 1 Bardic Inspiration die. The attack must be on a creature within 60 ft. of you, that you can see.
You are able to choose which type of damage you retaliate with, except for the type of damage you received when hit. When you use this reaction, veins of color related to the type damage you choose glow on your skin. You choose acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, psychic or thunder for the type of damage the reaction takes.
Poetic Spite
Starting at 14th level, when a creature that you have destined as your Perfect Foil reduces you to 0 hit points, as a final spiteful effort, you can use a reaction to expend one use of Bardic Inspiration, placing you, instead, at 1 hit point.
