Base Class: Sorcerer
Whether you are the offspring of a polymorphed T'ien Lung, the descendent of a humanoid that gained the favor of a Lung Wang, or stumbled your way through life into a contract with a Li Lung you have acquired some of the draconic magic of the true dragons of Kara-Tur; the Lung (pronounced Lowng). The Lung serve the Celestial Emperor and the Celestial Bureaucracy as some of its many officers, collectively known as The Million Officials. They serve as guardians, lords and overseers over many areas of Kara-Tur such as the rivers, oceans and temples with each different type of Lung performing their own tasks.
This draconic connection has greatly altered your bloodline and grants you spells reminiscent of many Lung's magical abilities that is further influenced by the Lung you hold a connection to.
Draconic Ancestor
At 1st level, you choose one type of dragon as your ancestor. Your draconic ancestor determines five of the additional spells you gain at 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th level. No matter which draconic ancestor you choose you also gain the following additional spells at 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level: protection from evil and good, invisibility, fly, greater invisibility, and dispel evil and good. Each spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.
Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be a spell from the sorcerer spell list

Chiang Lung
Also known as river dragons, Chiang Lung reside in small bodies of water. Covered with scales of green or blue shades and a yellow underside, often polymorphing into humans. They serve the Celestial Bureaucracy as guardians of rivers and lakes, controlling the rain of nearby land and ruling over the water denizens in their jurisdiction. They rarely show themselves to humanoids and dwelt at the bottom of rivers or lakes in palaces.
Li Lung
Also known as earth dragons, Li Lung reside deep underneath Kara-Tur. Li Lung shed their scales at a young age and instead grow coarse black fur across their bodies. They possess the mane of a lion and peacock feathers on their tails and are the only Lung to possess physical wings. Within the Celestial Bureaucracy the Li Lung control the earth, living in labyrinthine caverns deep underground.
Lung Wang
Also known as sea dragons, Lung Wang resides in the oceans surrounding Kara-Tur. Distant cousins of dragon turtles, Lung Wang resemble giant draconic turtles covered in a shell of thick green scales speckled with silver scales and flippers as arms. Lung Wang serve the Celestial Bureaucracy as the guardians of sea creatures. They are very territorial but remain friendly with most other Lung and sea creatures, using their powerful steam breath whenever combat arises.
Pan Lung
Also known as coiled dragons, Pan Lung dwell in the crypts and temples of Kara-Tur. They can have any shade of colored scales, though green, orange, and red scales are the most common, with their scales being naturally oily. Within the Celestial Bureaucracy Pan Lung serve as the guardians of hidden places, with their servants often being humans punished by the Bureaucracy for not being loyal to their families.
Shen Lung
Also known as spirit dragons, Shen Lung dwell in rivers and lakes. They are born with dull gray scales that are eventually replaced with bright shades of green, orange, or red. They are more modest than most other true dragons and maintain cordial relationships with nature spirits. Within the Celestial Bureaucracy Shen Lung work as assistants to Chiang Lung and possess the ability to communicate with animals.
T'ien Lung
Also known as celestial dragons, T'ien Lung are often found residing in the mountains of Kara-Tur. Their long serpentine bodies are covered with dull gold scales that turn into a bright yellow hue as they grow older, though some are covered in light green or orange scales. They possess multicolored beards and long whiskers that rise over their heads. While arrogant they are also noble and honorable and possess the ability to breathe a cone of fire. Within the Celestial Bureaucracy T'ien Lung are in control of all weather except for rain and are often guarded by air elementals in palaces found in clouds and on the peaks of mountains.
Tun Mi Lung
Also known as typhoon dragons, Tun Mi Lung live in the oceans of Kara-Tur. Covered in thick scales of blue-green, dark red and violet they are the largest of the Lung. They are aggressive and malicious, disliked by most other creatures and they did not respect the territory of other dragons. They spend most of their flying across the coast and ocean waters, dwelling in underwater palaces on the ocean floor. Within the Celestial Bureaucracy Tun Mi Lung were tasked with unleashing ocean storms, typhoons and hurricanes when ordered by the Celestial Bureaucracy but often did so on their own whim, requiring a T'ien Lung to be sent to end the storm and chastise the Tun Mi Lung.
Gift of the Lung
Thanks to your link with the Lung you possess the ability to dwell in the deepest ocean depths and highest peaks. You can breathe underwater, gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed, and don't suffer the effects of frigid weather or water.
Additionally, parts of your skin are covered by a thin sheen of dragon-like scales (if your chosen ancestor is a Li Lung you are instead covered in coarse black fur). When you aren't wearing armor, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield's benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.
Limited Shapechanging
Starting at 6th level, you gain the shapeshifting abilities of the Lung and can use it to magically change your form into various creatures.
As an action or bonus action you can change into the form of a different creature for the duration. This feature functions as the shapechange spell but with the following exceptions:
- This feature is not itself a spell (cannot be countered by counterspell, dispelled by dispel magic, does not require concentration, and does not have any components)
- The chosen form(s) can only be a beast, dragon, or humanoid.
- When you use this feature to transform into a creature that is CR 0 you do not have to expend a spell slot. Otherwise, you must expend a spell slot of 2nd level or higher. The chosen form can be up to a CR equal to the level of the spell slot expended minus 1. In order to change into the form of a different creature the new form must be CR 0 or you must expend an additional spell slot of 2nd level or higher. Otherwise, you may revert to your original form as an action or bonus action.
Improved Shapeshifting
At 14th level, you have mastered your polymorphing abilities. The following changes are made to your Limited Shapechanging Feature:
- You can transform into any beast, dragon, or humanoid of CR 1 or lower without expending a spell slot
- The maximum CR of creatures you can transform into instead equals the level of the spell slot expended
Servant of the Celestial Heaven
Beginning at 18th level, you gain the shapeshifting powers inherent in all Lung, as well as powerful magic based on the Lung your sorcery originates from. You learn the shapechange spell and can cast it without material components. This spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.
In addition, you learn two spells based on your draconic ancestry. These spells counts as sorcerer spells for you, but don't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. You may cast one of these spells without expending a spell slot. Once you do so, you cannot cast either of them again in this way until you finish 1d6 long rests.
