Base Class: Fighter
Fighters of this archetype specialize in using shields as deadly weapons while also using them to bolster their defenses. Some of these fighters may use a single-handed weapon along with a shield in combat, but others dual-wield shields with no other weapon to present an indomitable challenge to their foes.
Two-Shield Proficiency
Beginning when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, whenever you wield two shields, you gain the armor class increase and benefits of both shields.
Defensive Fighting
At 3rd level, attacks with your shield strengthen due to your training with them. You are proficient in all weapon attacks using your shield.
Additionally, all shields count as light for you.
Impenetrable Stance
At 7th level, your honed stance allows you to act as an immovable wall. Whenever you are forced to make a check or saving throw that would involuntarily move you, you make the roll with advantage. In addition, whenever a creature voluntarily moves within 5-feet of you, you can use your reaction to attempt to shove the creature (as detailed under 'Shoving a Creature' in the Player's Handbook). If you successfully shove the creature, their speed is also reduced to 0 until the end of the current turn.
Deflect Attacks
Starting at 10th level, you gain the ability to expertly deflect strikes coming your way. As a bonus action while you are wielding at least one shield, you can increase your AC by 4 until the beginning of your next turn
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Strength modifier. You regain all expended uses whenever you finish long rest.
Improved Shield Attacks
Starting at 15th level, whenever you make an attack with a shield that doesn't have any additional damage modifiers, the damage die of the attack increases to 1d8.
Shield Master
At 18th level, whenever you are wielding at least one shield, you gain immunity to all nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

Posted May 15, 2019I have to agree, maybe resistance would be better? Also what's the connection between the name, Juggernaut, and shields?

Even at 18 this is overpowered. Imagine fighting a Tarrasque in melee, dumb yes but, with this trait the only way it could damage you would be to swallow you and let it's stomach acid deal damage. For instance, it can attack 5 times with it's max damage output being over 200 points of damage, more on crit rolls obviously. This trait negates ALL that EVERYTIME because that damage is nonmagical.

Posted Jan 5, 2019Might want to add in there somewhere what a shield does for damage, from what I could find the general consensus is 1d4+STR as per improvised weapons.

Posted Dec 12, 2018I absolutely love this. A tower shield fighter who just stands there and stops everything
