Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Hellfire and brimstone meekly smolder in comparison to the fiendish fury of your rage. Those who walk the Path of the Damned are altered by the wicked wrath flowing through them. Your savagery is blasphemous and desecrating; menacing to behold as you wield the power of the forsaken, the hellish, and the damned against your trembling foes.

Wicked Visage

When you choose this subclass at 3rd level, your appearance has altered as a result of your fiendish power. You gain darkvision out to a range of 60 feet. If you already have darkvision, your range increases by 30 feet. Additionally, you can add your Strength modifier to Charisma skill checks.

When you rage, your form twists to take on a Wicked Visage, transforming you. Roll on the table below to determine your transformation:

Wicked Visage
d6 Appearance
1 Sharp knobs of bone and horn pierce your skin at jagged angles, coving you in razor carapace.
2 Flame and brimstone bellows from your mouth and eyes, emanating a foul smoke.
3 You weep tears of blood and your tongue lengthens into a lash of hungry crimson flesh.
4 Your eyes become black pits, as shadows animate around you, taking fiendish shapes that laugh and moan.
5 Knotted patches of fur sprout across your body as you grow a twisting tail and sharpened fangs.
6 A putrid air hangs over you and your skin becomes translucent as your organs, blood, and bones turn black within you.

Hellfire Affliction

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, while you are raging, you gain resistance to fire damage and your furious blows inflict accursed hellfire upon your foes. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack roll, you can afflict them with hellfire. While afflicted, a creature takes an additional 1d4 fire damage when you hit it with a weapon attack, and suffers a 1d4 penalty to attack rolls made against you and saving throws made to resist your effects.

At 10th level, this extra fire damage increases to 2d4.

A creature can only be affected by one Hellfire Affliction at a time and the effects end when your rage ends. You can use this feature a number of times per long rest equal to your number of rages.

Fiendish Edge

Starting at 6th level, your subjugation over foes affected by your Hellfire Affliction strengthens. When a creature affected by your Hellfire Affliction forces you to make a saving throw, you can add 1d4 to the roll.

Diabolical Tether

At 10th level, the dark power of your hellfire shackles your enemies to your dominating presence. While at least one creature is under the effects of your Hellfire Affliction, you gain the following options:

  • Callous Leash. As a bonus action, you can attempt to pull a creature under the effect of your Hellfire Affliction towards you. You must be able to see the creature, and it must succeed on a contested Strength (Athletics) check or be pulled up to 10 feet closer to you. Succeed or fail, the creature cannot willingly move farther away from you until the end of its next turn.
  • Thrall's Tithe. As a reaction to taking damage, you can force a creature you can see under the effect of your Hellfire Affliction to make a Constitution saving throw (DC equals 8 plus your Strength modifier plus your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, a creature takes damage equal to the damage dealt to you. On a successful save, a creature takes half damage.

Carnage Incarnate

At 14th level, you have become an imposing avatar of wrath and terror. When you rage and roll on your Wicked Visage table, you gain additional benefits listed below:

Carnage Incarnate
D6 APPEARANCE
1 Sharp knobs of bone and horn pierce your skin at jagged angles, coving you in razor carapace. You gain a +1 bonus to your AC. When you hit with a melee weapon attack, double your rage bonus damage.
2 Flame and brimstone bellows from your mouth and eyes, emanating a foul smoke. You gain resistance to cold damage and immunity to fire damage. Each creature that starts its turn within 5 feet of you takes fire damage equal to your rage bonus.
3 You weep tears of blood and your tongue lengthens into a lash of hungry crimson flesh. You can speak all languages and your Callous Leash can pull creatures up to 30 feet.
4 Your eyes become black pits, as shadows animate around you, taking fiendish shapes that laugh and moan. You gain resistance to necrotic damage and blindsight out to a range of 60 ft.
5 Knotted patches of fur sprout across your body as you grow a twisting tail and sharpened fangs. You sprout leathery wings and gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
6 A putrid air hangs over you and your skin becomes translucent as your organs, blood, and bones turn black within you. You gain resistance to poison damage. When you are hit by an attack roll, each creature within 5 feet of you takes poison damage equal to your rage bonus.

Additionally, as a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Hellfire Affliction to roll on the Wicked Visage table again, gaining the benefits of a second effect. If you roll a duplicate, you may choose which effect you gain. You can have up to two Wicked Visage effects activated at once, and may end one effect to activate another.
