Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Righteous Avenger are drawn to meditation as a means of quelling the anger inside them, usually born of an injustice afflicted upon them. They learn techniques to harness that fury, and they use their ki to teach lessons to those that would harm others.

Brass Knuckle Technique

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn to harness the infamous power of brass knuckles. You become proficient with these weapons, and for you, they count as monk weapons. You may choose to wear brass knuckles on one hand or both. Each time you successfully make an unarmed strike with a fist wearing brass knuckles, you deal an additional 1d4 bludgeoning damage.

The added weight of the knuckles comes at a cost, however. While wearing these knuckles on two hands, you cannot wield any other weapons. While wearing these on one-hand, you cannot use any two-handed weapons or cannot utilize the versatile property on weapons. Additionally, when you use your bonus action to make an unarmed strike as a part of your Martial Arts feature and/or to use your Flurry of Blows bonus action while wearing these knuckles, you attack with disadvantage.

Insightful Warrior

At 6th level, you have seen enough corruption to know its signature well. As an action, you may spend 1 ki point to give yourself advantage on Wisdom (Insight) checks to sense deceit, corruption, or any similar interaction at your GM's discretion.

Step of the Righteous

At 6th level, your need to protect others against unfair situations empowers your reflexes. On your turn, when an ally within a distance no greater than your movement speed is engaged by 2 or more enemies, you may spend 3 ki points to use your Step of the Wind feature without using your bonus action.

Additionally, you gain advantage on your next attack against the creatures engaged with your ally.

Righteous Rebuke

Beginning at 11th level, your righteous fury runs hot in your veins, empowering your ki. When you are hit by an enemy, you can use to reaction to spend 2 ki points to cast hellish rebuke against that enemy at 1st level. For you, the damage type is radiant rather than fire.

Alternatively, you may choose to spend 3 ki points to cast the spell at 2nd level (3d10) or 4 ki points to cast it at 3rd level (4d10).

Fury of the Avenger

At 17th level, you have learned to fully harness the fury that sent you down the Way of the Righteous Avenger. Once per long rest, you may spend 5 ki points to unleash a Righteous Fury of Blows. Instead of two unarmed strikes, you make four.

If you are wearing your brass knuckles while you use this feature, you do not attack with disadvantage. If you are not wearing your brass knuckles, you attack with advantage.
