Base Class: Druid
< this is a test version of this subclass. It's meant to be a wild shape focused subclass that does no overlap with moon druid. The idea behind it is to- instead of making your wild shapes more powerful beasts, you can instead add more variety and options to emulate the mythical chimera. >
Chimeric Aspect
Starting at 2nd Level, You gain a number of extra uses of your Wild Shape equal to your proficiency bonus. These extra uses of your Wild Shape must be used on Chimeric Aspect, and you regain them all on a Short or Long Rest
Chimeric Aspect ; You may spend a use of your Wild Shape to adopt a Chimeric aspect lasts for 10 minutes. When using Chimeric Aspect, you partially Wild Shape choosing one of the following traits of a creature you could Wild Shape in to:
An Attribute score
Armor Class
Any Special Defenses (resistances and/or immunities)
A Special sense
A Special Ability
Any Attack or Action the creature has (Except Multiattack)
A Movement Speed and type
Your character gains the chosen trait for the duration of Chimeric Aspect, their body partially transforming to accommodate the trait. Unless the Chimeric aspect directly interferes with the components for a spell (such as a muzzle for a bite attack making it difficult to perform verbal components), Chimeric aspect does not prevent spellcasting or concentrating on spells. At any time you would make a Melee Weapon Attack roll or a Ranged Weapon Attack Roll, you may choose to attack with an appropriate attack that uses the same type of attack roll that you have chosen with Chimeric Aspect or Wild Shape instead.
You may only have one use of Chimeric Aspect active at a time, and your choice must be valid per the Wild Shape chart.
Monstrous Aspect
Starting at 6th level, When using Wild Shape or Chimeric Aspect, Monstrosities that you have seen or studied of an appropriate CR (per the Wild Shape table) and an Intelligence Score of 6 or less are valid choices. In addition, You may use Chimeric Aspect while you are already in a shape granted to you by Wild Shape. If used this way, the duration of your Chimeric Aspect changes to match the Wild Shape itself, ending when it ends. Finally, when using chimeric aspect you may gain a flying speed even if you would not be able to per the wild shape chart.
Voice of the Chimeric
Starting at 6th Level, your druidic magic is influenced by the nature of your Chimeric Aspect. Whenever you cast a spell that would typically only effect or interact with Beasts (such as Speak with Animals or Dominate Beast ) you may choose to have that spell also effect any creature type that is a valid choice for your Chimeric Aspect.
Abberant Aspect
Starting at 10th level, You may adopt two traits from any valid sources when using Chimeric Aspect instead of one, or one trait from two separate valid sources. In addition, Aberrations you have seen or studied of an appropriate CR (per the Wild shape table) and an Intelligence Score of 6 or less are valid choices for your Wild Shape and Chimeric Aspect.
If using your Wild Shape or Chimeric Aspect would cause you to gain an Ability, Action, or Attack from a Monstrosity or Aberration that causes a creature or creatures to make a saving throw, you raise the DC of that saving throw by an amount equal to half your proficiency bonus.
Draconic Aspect
Starting at 14th level, you may activate Chimeric Aspect as a bonus action, or as part of the action to enter in to a Wild Shape. When activating Chimeric Aspect, you may force any creature that you are within the line of sight of to make a Wisdom Saving Throw equal to your spell DC. On failure, they are frightened of you for rounds equal to your proficiency bonus.
In addition, dragons, Aberrations, and monstrosities you have seen or studied of cr 2 or lower are valid choices for your Chimeric Aspect (though NOT your wild shape)
