Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

The Ancestral Pyromancer has fire in their sorcerous veins.  Wether that comes from their parentage or a distant ancestor isn't necessarily clear, but the power they wield is undeniable.

Eternal Flame

At 1st level Evocation spells of any damage type may be converted to fire damage if you so choose.

Additionally, as an actions you can magically ignite a flammable object, up to 10 ft in size, you touch with your hand.

Flaming Soul

Starting at 1st level, you gain resistance to fire.

Fiery Aura

At 6th level, Fiery magic erupts from you. This eruption causes all creatures within 5 feet of you to take fire damage equal to half your sorcerer level (rounded up). A number of times equal to your charisma modifier per long rest.

Additionally at 14th level you may use this a number of times equal to your double your charisma modifier.

Twirling Flame

At 6th level, you gain a new use of your font of magic feature. If you see a spell of first level or higher that deals fire damage, or once your Aura of Fire ability activates, you can spend 2 Sorcery points as a reaction to syphon the energy and magically wreath yourself in it's flames for 1 minute. If the fire comes from a spell then that spell deals half damage. While active you gain the following benefits:

  • You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet.
  • Any creature takes fire damage equal to your Charisma modifier if it touches you or hits you with a melee attack,
  • When rolling fire damage on your turn, the roll gains a bonus equal to your Charisma modifier.
  • As a reaction you can cause The Fiery Aura feature to explode out to a 10 foot radius.

Furious Fire

Starting at 14th level, when you are hit by a melee attack, you can expend 1 Sorcery point as a reaction and deal fire damage to the attacker. The damage equals your sorcerer level. If you instead choose to spend 2 Sorcery points, then in addition to the damage you can use those flames to activate your Swirling Aura ability. Additionally creatures that are resistant to fire are not.

Incinerator

At 18th level, you gain one free use of your Twirling Flame feature once every long rest. While under the effect of your Twirling Flame feature you gain additional benefits:

  • You have a flying speed equal to your walking speed and can hover.
  • If a creature targets you with a spell or attack, they must first succeed a Constitution saving throw (DC 10+CHA) or become blinded until the start of their next turn.
  • You gain immunity to fire damage. Creatures that are immune to fire become resistant.
  • You gain control over which creatures within your Fiery Aura ability take damage when it gets triggered.
  • Additionally, creatures that die as a result of your flames are consumed, disintegrating into a pile of ash and restoring 1 Sorcery point (up to your maximum).
