Base Class: Artificer

Using Technological Genius Fabricators are a resourceful and Versatile subclass that give buffs to themselves and others, Via Armor Enhancements. With "Battle Shells" you and your allies will be kept safe and be able to keep on fighting to live another day. (Writers Note: This subclass is loosely based off of Donatello from ROTTMNT, so there's the inspiration.)

Tools Of The Trade

When you adopt this specialization at 3rd level, you gain Proficiency with Martial Melee Weapons. You also gain proficiency with smith's tools. If you already have this tool proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan's tools of your choice.

Fabricator Spells

Starting at 3rd level, you always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Fabricator Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don't count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Battle Shells

Beginning at 3rd Level you have some Battle Shells to choose from. You can have 1 of these active per short rest and switch one out for any other. You can switch out Activated Battle Shells as a Bonus Action, for example if you are wearing a Spider Shell and Require a Recoil Shell you can call the Recoil Shell and Send the Spider Shell to another creature.

At 5th Level you can activate 2 Shells, 3 at 9th Level, and 4 at 15th Level.    (Note: Battle Shells can be given to Unarmored Creatures for they are enhancements not replacements.)

 

Dual Rocket Shell

When worn this Battle Shell lets the user move up to half their speed without using their movement as a bonus action.

Flight Shell

Prerequisite 5th Level Artificer.

The User who wears this Shell gains a Fly Speed of 30 ft. 

The User can also let on creature equal size to the User or smaller ride on the shell.

Recoil Shell

This Shell Allows the User to (as a Reaction) teleport back to where they started on their Turn.

Spider Shell

This Shell gives the user up to 4 extra Telescoping Limbs that can hold Tiny/Small Objects.

The user who wears this Shell also gains a Climbing speed of 30 ft.

Extra Attack

Starting at 5th level, you can attack twice, rather than once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Battle Shell Self Destruction

Starting at 9th Level, you, as a Part of the Shell Switch Bonus Action, you can send one shell to a Target within 120 ft Self Destructing & Dealing Damage within a 10 ft. Sphere.

All creatures within the sphere must succeed a Dexterity Saving throw or Take 6D6 Fire Damage. the target takes half damage on a successful save.

A Single Battle Shell Destroyed like this must be remade over the course of a Long Rest With at least 50 Gold Pieces worth of Metalic Materials.

Hell of a Shell

Starting at 15th Level, all your Battle Shells give the Users a +2 to their AC and advantage on Constitution Saving throws.

If you are knocked unconscious but not killed outright while wearing a Battle Shell, your Battle Shell breaks, & you fall to 1 hit point instead of 0.
