Druid
Base Class: Druid

There are those that practice natural magics that ere on the side of darkness. Those that are one with the shadows, and those that dwell amongst them. These druids are masters of distorting themselves into monstrosities like no other. They feed on the blight they bring into the world.

Monstrous Shape

Starting at 2nd level, your physical appearance has shifted into that of a half-dead humanoid, with black ichor, snapped bones, and ripped muscles all protruding from your skin. You gain proficiency in Intimidation. You are considered a monstrosity instead of a humanoid, fey, or any other creature type that you would gain from your racial features.

In addition, you gain the ability to reshape yourself into a monstrous amalgam. You can use your Wild Shape ability as a bonus action rather than an action. You can use your Wild Shape to transform into a beast with a challenge rating as high as 1 (you ignore the Max. CR column of the Beast Shapes table, but must abide by the other limitations there). You count as a monstrosity when in this form.

While in this form, you may use your spell attack modifier in place of any attack modifiers, and damage you deal is considered magical.

Starting at 6th level, you can transform into a beast with a challenge rating as high as your druid level divided by 3, rounded down.

Fey Attuned

Your knowledge of fey extends beyond the normal. You gain advantage on Nature and Survival checks that pertain to the feywild or fey creatures.

Barbed Terrain

At 3rd level, you can use your action to defile the ground beneath you. The area of land within a 10ft radius centered on you becomes riddled with thorns. This area is considered difficult terrain for creatures that are not you. In addition, when a creature enters this area for the first time, or ends it's turn within it, the creature takes 1d4 necrotic damage. You gain hit points equal to the amount dealt. The area of defiled land moves with you as you move. Creatures that are flying or are not touching the ground are not affected by this.

This effect lasts 1 minute. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.

The damage dealt by this effect increases to 1d6 at 10th level, and 1d8 at 14th level.

Ruler of Thorns

By 6th level, your connection to nature has grown, and you have near mastery over thorns. You can cast Wall of Thorns at 6th level without expending a spell slot. If you do so in this way, you gain the ability to move the wall of thorns up to 20ft as a bonus action.

You can use this ability once per short rest.

Shadow Walk

When you reach level 6, you've learned how to dwell amongst the shadows. When you are standing in darkness, you may, as a bonus action, teleport to another location that you can see within 90ft that is considered darkness.

You may use this ability a number of times per long rest equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Death Blight

At 10th level, whenever you deal damage to a creature with an ability granted by your wild shape, that creature must make a Constitution saving throw against your Spell Save DC. If the creature fails, it becomes cursed with Death Blight. At the end of each of its turns, the creature can roll again. Each failed saving throw does an additional effect described on the Death Blight table. Each of the previous effects remain until the creature succeeds it's saving throw. If an effect deals damage, it deals that damage at the end of each of that creature's turn.

Neverdeath

At level 10, you're devotion to the blight of nature has granted you eternal life. You stop aging entirely and cannot die from old age.

Mask of Many Faces

At 14th level, you have learned to use you magic to alter your form in subtler ways. You can cast the alter self spell at will.

Monstrous Mastery

Starting at 14th level, you've reached beyond the simplicity of beasts, and have attuned with the more monstrous creatures of the multiverse. You can use your wild shape ability to transform into monstrosities and dragons of appropriate CR.
