Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

A Ranger must always be vigilant, with a keen eye and a steady hands. Some, however, are far more highly trained in the usage of ranged weaponry, to the point they can slay a foe from maximum range and from nearly complete cover. High on a hillside or up in a tree, the Deadeye can fire at an enemy rapidly and take them out of the fight. In the event they are ambushed, the Deadeye may also take advantage of their surroundings and use whatever they have on hand to improvise a weapon and hurl it with deadly accuracy.

Longshot

At 3rd level, your skill with a bow lends many benefits that allow you to hit the enemy and hide well. You may treat any weapon with the Thrown property as if it had the Finesse property as well. You also gain proficiency in the Stealth skill. Also, when throwing an improvised weapon, you may deal 1d4 + your Dexterity bonus in damage. The damage type is determined by your DM.

Additionally, when using a ranged weapon, you may gain advantage on a number of ranged attack roles equal to your proficiency bonus every short rest.

Optional Rule: If your DM allows firearms, this feature may apply to them as well, and your Ranger will have proficiency with firearms if they do not already.

Hawkeye Spells

Starting at 3rd level, you learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Hawkeye Spells table. The spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of ranger spells you know.

Hunker Down

Starting at 7th level, your knowledge of the high ground improves your ability to fire from cover. Any creature attacking you when you have half cover must do so as if you had three-fourths cover.

You may also gain proficiency with either woodcarver’s tools or tinker's tools, and an accompanying set of these tools, in order to craft yourself arrows or bullets. Crafting follows the rules and timetables set out by the Dungeon Master’s Guide.

At 11th level, your knowledge allows you to treat having three-fourths cover as if it were full cover.

Tinker's Tools

You gain proficiency with tinker's tools to make your own bullets.

Woodcarver's Tools

You gain proficiency with woodcarver's tools to make your own arrows

Daring Escape

At 11th level, you may now Dash as a bonus action, and may also recover all your expended ammunition by searching the battle field for a minute.

You may also cast the major image spell without material components once per long rest.

Silent Bullseye

At 15th level, you may now cast the greater invisibility spell as a bonus action a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier + 1. From your invisible position, you may also make your arrows or ammunition invisible to your foes. Once all uses are expended, you cannot use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
