Base Class: Druid
Druids of the Circle Of Conjuration have gained a special appreciation for the beauty of the wilderness, and the creatures which live in harmony with nature. They form bonds with beasts and fey of every alignment, and are seen as protectors of nature. When there is a threat to the balance of life, Conjuration Druids call upon the creatures of the woodlands to aid in its defense.
Conjuration Druids choose to focus their life on the intricacies of woodland summoning magic. They find special catharsis in allowing the creatures of the wild to play a more direct role in the defense of nature.
Summoning Savant
At level 2, you have discovered how to better control the unpredictable energy of summoning magic. In exchange for this heightened control, you summon less creatures.
You have the perfect choice of which creatures you summon or create with items, abilities, or spells. This only applies when summoning or creating Beasts or fey.
When you cast “Conjure Animal,” the base number of creatures you summon follows the below chart. Every other feature of the spell remains unchanged.
- One Beast of Challenge rating 2 or lower
- Two Beasts of Challenge rating 1 or lower
- Four Beasts of Challenge rating 1/2 or lower
When you cast “Conjure Woodland Beings,” the base number of creatures you summon follows the below chart. Every other feature of the spell remains unchanged.
- One fey creature of Challenge rating 2 or lower
- Two fey creatures of Challenge rating 1 or lower
- Four fey creatures of Challenge rating 1/2 or lower
As a result of your increased affinity with creatures of the woodlands, you have taken a vow to never summon Pixies, to respect their aversion to conflict.
Innate Summoning
At level 2, as an action, you may expend a use of Wild Shape to summon a number and type of woodland creatures that follow the below progression:
Level 2
- One Beast of Challenge rating 1/4 or lower
Level 4
- One Beast of Challenge rating 1 or lower
- Two Beasts of Challenge rating 1/2 or lower
Level 5
- You gain the ability to summon fey. The summoning table of this ability now follows the progression of Conjure Animal and Conjure Woodland Beings, to a max of spell level 8.
Innate Summoning requires no verbal, sematic, or material cost. You may use Innate Summoning once per long rest. Creatures summoned this way last 1 hour. This ability require your concentration. Creatures you summon this way are dismissed if your concentration is broken.
Nature's Protection
At level 2, as a reaction, you may dismiss any number of summoned creatures you are concentrating on. For each creature you dismiss, distribute a number of temporary HP among yourself or any amount of allies you can see, equal to 5 + your druid level.
Beasts and fey of Challenge rating 1 provide double this amount.
Beasts and fey of Challenge rating 2 or above provide four times this amount.
You may use Nature's Protection after seeing the result of a roll, potentially absorbing the damage of an attack, or potentially dismissing a summon before it takes a hit. An individual may only receive up to half their total HP in temporary HP from this source, per day. You may use this feature a number of times, per long rest, equal to your proficiency bonus.
Strength Of The Wild
At level 6, you empower your summons with durability and imbue them with the power to rend even the toughest foe. Each Beast or fey you summons or creates with items, abilities, or spells, gain the following benefit:
- +2 bonus to all attack rolls
- 2 Temporary HP per hit die it possesses.
- The damage from its natural and non-magical weapons are considered magical for the purpose of overcoming immunity and resistance to non-magical attacks and damage.
At Level 16, the bonus to attack rolls increases to +3 and the temporary HP gained becomes 3 per hit die.
Primal Proliferation
At Level 10, you have learned to channel more primal energy into your summoning magic, achieving explosive results.
Once per long rest, you may expend one use of Wild Shape to double the amount of Beasts and fey you summon or create when you use items, abilities, or spells to summon or create Beasts and fey.
Harmony Of Nature
At level 14, each target may receive up to their full HP in temporary HP from Nature's Protection, per day.
Summoning Specialist
You may replace your level 18 and 20 class features with the following options
Summon Mastery
At level 18, you may use Primal Proliferation and Innate Summoning two times per long rest.
You may choose to gain Summon Mastery instead of Beast Spells.
Psion Of The Woodlands
At level 20, you learn to temporarily harness the energy of creation to subvert the laws of magic.
Once per day, as a bonus action, you grant your class abilities and the summons you create with Innate Summoner, the following benefits for the next 10 minutes:
- Immunity to effects which would dispel, nullify, or suppress magic. This applies to any weapons they use and spells they cast.
- Any weapons they use are considered to be conjured by a 9th level spell for the purposes of overcoming immunities and resistances.
You may choose to gain Psion Of The Woodlands instead of Archdruid.
