Entertainement Expert
When you join the College of Entertainement you gain expertise in the Performance skill, if you already have expertise on this skill you instead gain expertise on one of your other skill proficiencies.
Over here!
Starting at 3rd level, your presence and charisma is enough to distract your enemies.
As a reaction when an enemy is targetting one or more allies with an attack, spell or skill which you can see you may attempt to redirect that action towards yourself. The target must succeed on a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC or be distracted by you forcing their actions to be redirected towards you at a disadvantage. If the target succeeds it will become aware of your attempt and will have advantage at further distraction attempts. The effect is applied even if the target is out of reach to hit the bard which automatically fails and ends the target's turn.
Spotlight
At 6th level, you gain the ability to make your enemies shine in more ways than one. As a bonus action you may use one of your bardic inspiration dice to create a beaming light on a 5ft radius around a target that you can see, when you do that roll your bardic inspiration dice and reduce the result from the target's AC while this skill is active. The effects last until the end of the target's turn and may be dispeled or counterspelled at any time as if it was a low level spell. While this skill is active anyone under the spotlight is considered exposed and may not take the hide action, on top of that the target may not become invisible through magical means and is able to be seen in magical darkness.
Showtime!
At 14th level, you may finally put the show you've always envisioned.
Whenever you cast a spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or bellow you may use the rest of your turn to concentrate on a performance as if performing a short song, play or any other activity that could be considered a performance. When you do that the spell is considered a concentration spell and does not require the use of the spell slot as if it was cast as a ritual, this can be done even if the spell lacks both concentration and ritual tags.
When you begin your performance you enter a state of continuous concentration that lasts up to a minute, you may end the effects early as an action. During this state you gain the following benefits:
- You add your Charisma modifier to your current AC
- You may roll Performance skill checks instead of Concentration saving throws to maintain your concentration
- Your spells have a minimum range of 60ft
- You may not be charmed nor put to sleep
- Your spells may not be counterspelled
As a bonus action during each of your turns you may redirect your spell towards another target or area but you may not take any other actions other than moving up to your movement speed, any saving throws not related to breaking your concentration are considered failures. On top of having your concentration broken this state also ends if you fall under the influence of the silence spell, if you are paralized, grappled or if you fall unconscious. If you end this state early on your turn you may once again take actions other than moving however, you may not enter this state again until the start of your next turn.
