Princess

Princess bards, as they are called, are not always royalty by blood. They have an inborn magical quality that they can amplify in intense situations, taking on a Perfect Princess form. Their charisma is potent, even among bards. When princess bards perform, strangers and animals will join in for a big musical number.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you become a Princess Bard at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with History and Performance.

Forest Friends

Also at 3rd level, you can cast Speak with Animals at will.

Perfect Princess Form

Starting at 6th level, as a bonus action, you can transform into your Perfect Princess Form for 1 minute or until you are incapacitated. While in Perfect Princess Form, you gain the following features:

• Inspiring Strike. Whenever you hit with a weapon attack, you can expend a Bardic Inspiration die to grant all allies within 30 feet of you a number of temporary hit points equal to the roll of the die.
• Improvised Dance. When you get hit with an attack, you can use your reaction to expend a Bardic Inspiration die and add half the number rolled (rounded up) to your AC until the start of your next turn, potentially causing the triggering attack to miss.
• Sappy Song. You can sing a wistful song about your desire for more in life. When you make an Animal Handling, Persuasion, or Intimidation check, you can make a Performance check instead.

Once you use this feature you cannot do so again until you finish a short or long rest.

Grand Finale

Starting at 14th level, when you enter your Perfect Princess Form, you gain a powerful, showstopping aura. It grants the following features.

• The Big Musical Number. You and friendly creatures within 30 feet of you can treat Performance rolls of 9 or lower as a 10.
• Happily Ever After. When a creature starts their turn at 0 hit points within 30 feet of you, they gain 1 successful death save. Then they roll a death save as normal.

Additionally, you learn the Circle of Power spell. It doesn't count against the number of Bard spells known.
