Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

A Dragon Knight is born when a knight discovers and embraces a draconic presence in their ancestral bloodline. They channel this power into the manifestation of a draconic spirit as they change spiritually and mentally as they accept their draconic blood and use it, for better or for worse, to decimate their enemies on the battlefield. Clad in platemail and sword in hand they battle their enemies. When the odds turn against them, they take flight on dragon wings, and rain fire on the battle field.

Blood Of The Dragon

You have awakened the ancient power of your draconic bloodline.

At 3rd level, choose a damage type between acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poisonas. This will determine the Draconic Essence of you Dragonic soul and give you resistance to the chosen damage.

As an action, you can expend 1 use of your action surge feat to magically summon the manifestation of your soul wich takes the form of a small dragon that is bound to you. It appears in an unoccupied space of your choice within 30 feet of you.

The dragon is friendly to you and your companions, and it obeys your commands. See its game statistics in the accompanying Dragon Companion stat block, which uses your proficiency bonus (PB) in several places. Whenever you summon the dragon, it takes the damage type you chose as its Draconic Essence trait. You can determine the cosmetic characteristics of the dragon, such as its color, its scale texture, or any visible effect of its Draconic Essence; your choice has no effect on its game statistics.

In combat, the dragon shares your hit points, if it takes damage you also receive the same amount, if your hit points fall to 0 you fall unconscious and the dragon disappears. It's initiative count is the same as yours, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It can move and use its reaction on its own, but the only action it takes on its turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take another action. That action can be one in its stat block or some other action. If you are incapacitated, the dragon can take any action of its choice, not just Dodge. Also, if you are under any condition by magic the dragon also gains that same condition and if the dragon is put under any condition by magic you fall under that same condition.

The dragon remains for 24 hours, until you dismiss it or you hit 0 hit points. You can only summon 1 dragon at a time.
