Base Class: Wizard

The first practice of Zenomancy is not to practice on yourself first!

Zenomancy teaches the means to copy material from our plane and recreate it from the weave. With enough practice, one can replicate objects of all kinds, eventually working their way up to living plants, animals, and lastly themselves.

Replicate Object

Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, you can use your time during a short or long rest to replicate a small object a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier, like a weapon, a plate of food, or anything remotely handheld. The object will share all of the same material properties as the original, but nothing magical from that object can be replicated.

Duplicate Spell

Starting at 2nd level, you can create copies of a single-target spell that you just witnessed being cast. Once per short rest, as part of a reaction you can spend a spell slot equal to or greater than the spell casted to have it casted on you or from you to another creature that you can see. If the spell has a range of touch or greater it will require you use that range. If a spell deals damage you can choose the target and cast it using your spellcasting modifiers.

Mimic Servants

At 6th level, you add the Create Mimics spell to your spellbook if it is not there already. When you cast Create Mimics, you can make one additional mimic for free matching the lowest health Mimic as appropriate.

Whenever you create a mimic it has additional benefits:

  • The creature's hit point maximum is increased by an amount equal to your wizard level.
  • The creature adds your intelligence bonus to its weapon damage rolls and saving throws. Damage dealt by mimics is now considered magic for the sake of resistances.

Empowered Mimics

Beginning at 10th level, your mimics become much more stable on their own. They have a resistance to one type of damage of your choice when summoned, their attacks deal magic damage for the sake of overcoming resistance, and you may cast your spells through them if you are within 60 feet of one of your mimics.

Perfected Clone

Starting at 14th level, you can increase the power of your self-duplicating magic. As an action, for the cost of half of your current hit points, you make a perfect clone of yourself in a square next to yours. The clone has its own initiative, shares the spells you know, as well as your current hit points with statistics and conditions included. It can cast spells, but does not recover any of the spell slots it spends. This creature lasts until it is desummoned or its hit points reach 0, leaving behind a body, after which you must take a long rest to use this feature again.
