Base Class: Rogue
Your calling lies in the art of delivering slow death, often with your target believing they had narrowly escaped your grasp only to go to rest for the night and never wake. A shallow cut from a Toxicist can be as dangerous as a stab to the neck from an Assasin. There are many paths that may lead one to become a Toxicist. Maybe you were born with a weak constitution and developed toxins so that your blades need not strike as deep into flesh. Maybe you were a healer who could not save a patient, and all you could do was aid them in falling into a final restful sleep. Regardless of how you came onto it, you know that this path you walk is paved with decay, yet you stride forward without hesitation.
Growth and Decay
At 3rd level when you take this subclass you gain proficiency with the Poisoners kit and the Herbalism kit.
Toxic Strike
At 3rd level when you take this subclass you no longer require advantage on your attack to gain sneak attack damage. Sneak attack damage is halved and damage type is converted to necrotic. When a target takes sneak attack damage they take the same amount of damage again at the end of their next turn.
Bad Blood
At 9th level, your blood has become toxic from extensive handling of hazardous materials. Gain resistance to poison damage and advantage on saving throws against poison.
You may use your blood to coat a piercing or slashing melee weapon, or 5 piercing ranged weapons (such as arrows or darts). Coating a weapon with blood deals you 1d4 damage and the poison lasts for 10 minutes until the blood becomes inert. A weapon coated with your blood deals an additional 1d6 poison damage on a hit.
Lasting Impression
At level 13, when you damage a target with Toxic Strike it instead takes full sneak attack damage at the end of its next turn instead of half.
You are also able to immediately identify if a target you can see is inflicted with a poison or disease and can determine the nature of that poison or disease.
Slow Death
At level 17 you infuse all your strikes with additional paralyzing poison: If a target is waiting to take delayed sneak attack damage from you they have disadvantage on dexterity saving throws and their movement is decreased by 15 feet.
