Base Class: Barbarian
Path of the Revenant barbarians choose to follow a path similar to the cursed creature known as the revenant, a vile undead with a rage that persists past death. Unlike true revenants, these warriors border the line of death but do not truly cross it, and channel potentially lethal necrotic energies to cast their spells.
Spellcasting
When you reach 3rd level, you augment your rage with arcane prowess. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting.
Cantrips
You learn two cantrips of your choice from the necromancy, and illusion school, as well as from a few select spells from the enchantment school. You learn an additional cantrip of your choice at 10th level.
Spell Slots
The Path of the Revenant Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.
For example, if you know the 1st-level spell shield and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast shield using either slot.
Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher
You know two 1st-level spells of your choice, all of which you must choose from the necromancy, illusion or from a few select spells from the enchantment school
The Spells Known column of the Path of the Revenant Spellcasting table shows when you learn more spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be a necromancy, enchantment or illusion spell of your choice, and must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.
Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the spells you know with another spell of your choice from the necromancy, enchantment or illusion spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots, and it must be an necromancy, enchantment or illusion spell.
Spellcasting Ability
Constitution is your spellcasting ability for your spells, since you practice your spells through running dangerous necrotic energies through your body. You use your Constitution whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Constitution modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.
Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier
Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier

Resilient Caster
Also at 3rd level, when you make a constitution save when rolling to maintain concentration, you can roll with advantage. You can provide the somatic and material components to spells when both of your hands are full. You can also cast and maintain concentration on your spells while raging.
Life Leech
Beginning at 6th level, when you defeat a creature, you leech part of it's essence and transform it into arcane power. Whenever you kill one or more creatures, you can choose to regain a spell slot. The spell slots can have a combined level that is equal to or less than one third of your barbarian level (rounded up). You cannot regain a spell slot for the spell slots of another class. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, recharging on a long rest.
Undying
Beginning at 10th level, whenever your hit points are reduced to 0, you can choose to expend a use of rage to remain on 1 hit point. Until the start of your next turn, you cannot have less than 1 hit point.
At 20th level, you can use this ability 6 times. You lose a use of this ability whenever you activate your rage. You regain all uses of this ability on a long rest.
Death Incarnate
Starting at 14th level, when you take damage from a creature that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to attempt to frighten them. The creature must make a wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be frightened of you for a minute. They can make this save again upon taking any damage that is not self-inflicted. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your constitution modifier, recharging on a long rest.
Additionally, while a creature is frightened, it has disadvantage on saving throws it makes against your spells. The creature does not have to be frightened by this ability specifically to apply this effect.
