Base Class: Fighter
A female tabaxi stands with her eyes closed as her clans elder walks circles around her randomly striking out with his staff. 'Haki is a latent power that anyone can have' he says as he strikes her on the head. 'Presence, fighting spirit, intimidation its no different from the senses that normal humans have. However, most of them don't realise their power or don't know how to bring them out, until the very end' Opening her eyes the elder gives her the staff and closes his own eyes. 'Having no doubt, That makes you strong!' Swing as fast and from as many angles as she can the tabaxi can not hit her instructor who nimbly dodges all of her swings easily and effortlessly, with his eyes closed. 'It's the power to feel other's presence more strongly - called Observation Haki!' he continues talking never moving from his spot as he dodges all attacks. 'Next, the Armament Haki. This power is the same as wearing invisible armour' with the next swing instead of dodging he raises on of his hands, the tabaxi sees his palm flash black before the staff is blasted out of her hands rebounding with such force that her hands stark shaking she looks on in awe at the sheer power radiating of her master.
A human male stands alone on a field of battle, smirking at his rival standing behind a small army. The adversary sends all of his men in a charge and the lone mans eyes turn from jovial to serious, never leaving the eyes of his rival, not paying attention to any of the underlings. As the contingent of soldiers draw near and surround the man his aura sharply rises, a huge shock wave of pure will power shoots outward as black and colourful markings spread out like tattoos on his body. By the time the transformation is done the small army is frozen and one by one they fall down unconscious, their very minds unable to take the humans sheer will power. His eyes turn jovial again and the smirk returns as he starts to walk towards his rival.
A Half elf is surrounded by friends who have one by one joined him on his adventure, unwittingly each new partner has steeled in their heart that they would do anything for him. To help him further his goal they would even lay down their lives. The charismatic aura of the half elf spills out unconsciously and unavoidably as he draws in more and more supporters as his secret dream of Conquering the known world is taking place. By birthright his is a King among man although he has no crown now, soon he will be the King of Kings.
All of these heroes are Haki Users, perhaps some of the rarest and strongest fighters known to the world, gifted by birthright the power to unify all people or to simply be the freest in the sense that they have the strength to be and do what ever they want. As with all people there are some with evil intentions and some with good, most take either of these two sides either seeing themselves as protectors or conquerors while there are also a rare few who simply wish to be strong for themselves and their friends.
Armament Haki Awakening
At 3rd level, a Haki fighter awakens their ability to use Haki. An Invisible, Internal energy that revolves and spins through all life. First learning to feel and use Haki with their body fighters learn to use Armament Haki. Armament Haki is used both for defence and attack strengthening your body. At 7th level, the Haki fighter gains access to the form of haki he did not start with, Observation Haki. Haki is a supernatural ability that is affected by training, meaning the user has to take at least 30 minutes of each day to train themselves and then another 15 minutes to meditate and consolidate his enlightenment. This however lets their Haki grow with them and at 10th level eventually upgrading and allowing access to their ultimate move, Conquers King Haki.
All Haki powers upgrade at 7th, 10th, 15th and 18th levels.
.
Armament Haki Beginner
This form of Haki causes the Haki fighter's body and spirit to harden when needed and can even spread to weapons to increase their effectiveness. The user may cause parts of his body and/or weapons to become black in colour and reflective as though they were metal (this is purely cosmetic however).
Using a [Tooltip Not Found] you can activate Armament Haki once a short rest and for the next minute your melee attacks gain a plus 1 to hit and to attack rolls as well as your AC increasing by 1/4 of your Fighter level rounded up.
Armament Haki Expert
At expert level you are hard pressed to find a challenge. Your Armament Haki hits harder and even gives you the ability to shrug off damage.
Your ability to infuse Haki with Will Power is almost seamless, Now with the added bonus of your Conquerors Haki you can add your Charisma Modifier to the Psychic damage you deal with each hit.
Once per day your control over your Armament lets you fortify certain positions more then others, if an attack hits you can instead choose to negate the damage if its physical or half damage if its a spell.
Armament Haki Intermediate
As the Haki Fighter gets used to using Armament Haki they can use it more often and more efficiently. They have learned to hit harder and swing faster using their Haki to a stronger degree. Armament Haki now deals an extra amount of psychic damage per attack, equal to their Wisdom Modifier, as they begin to understand how to put their Will Power into their strikes. This results in an attack that hits both physically and mentally.
They have also learnt how to tighten their guard to the point where most strikes wont break the skin, bouncing of their Hardened Armament. Haki fighters of this level whilst under the affects of Armament Haki have Resistance to non-magical Physical Blows.
Additionally Intermediate Haki users can use Armament twice per short rest.
Armament Haki Senior
Your Armament Haki covers your most of your body now showing your growing mastery. Steam now shoots outward from your pours making an effect of wind blowing out from you rising up your hair and clothes.
The instant you transform, other creatures within 10 feet of you that can see you must each succeed on a Charisma saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or become frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
Obtaining a small mastery in Armament Haki changes its form. Visibly your Haki is no longer static, it now ebbs and flows along your weapons like a liquid. Internally you can now control all your Haki coated weapons as if they were your own limbs evolving the the sharpness of your Armament, and your weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Armament King Haki
You have attained the Mantel of a True King. You can now indefinitely have your Haki Activated with no drain.
Rokushiki Techniques
At 3rd level, a haki fighter begins to study the superhuman martial arts style known as rokushiki. There are 6 known techniques in the rokushiki style as well as rumors of a seventh hidden technique. Each of these techniques depends upon a certain skill to determine its effectiveness, and some of them share the same dependent skill. At 5th level and every 3 levels thereafter the haki fighter chooses another technique (until all 6 known techniques are learned at 17th level). Usage of any of these techniques is a bonus action, but most of their effects have a duration associated with them. Similarly to haki techniques, the rokushiki technique skill results are halved in antimagic. The same Rokushiki technique cannot be used more than once per round (though two or more different ones could). Each Rokushiki technique requires Haki to utilise and without it cannot be used (With some exceptions). Because they use Haki each technique grows along with the User.
Geppo (Moonstep)
The geppo technique allows the user to jump off the air itself. At 1st level, geppo allows it's user to make a second jump check after the first in the same round even if there is nothing for him to jump off of. Furthermore, his falling rate is reduced to 60 feet per round as if the character has [Tooltip Not Found] .
This ability cannot be used consecutively until 8th level. At 8th level, the user gains the ability to make consecutive jumps and his falling rate is reduced to 5 feet per 2 rounds. Effectively granting half speed flying, at concentration.
At 11th level, the user only needs to make 1 jump check every hour (he can treat subsequent jump checks as the same result), and his falling rate is reduced to 5 feet every minute. Granting your walking speed as flying.
At 14th level, the user can jump off of energy they create rather than air allowing them to use it in airless environments. The user must be conscious to benefit from the reduced falling rate and can fall faster if he chooses to (up to the normal falling speed).
At 17th level, the user gains advantage on all concentration checks and can use soru at the same time.
Additionally any 'Jumping' [Tooltip Not Found] or [Tooltip Not Found] checks are taken at [Tooltip Not Found]
Kami-e (Paper Arts)
The kami-e technique uses the haki fighter's balance to flow around attacks. When used at the cost of concentration, for the next round, attacks against the haki fighter have disadvantage. At 5th level this increases to 2 rounds, 11th level increases to 3 rounds, 15th level increases to 4 rounds and 18th level increases to 5 rounds.
Rankyaku (Tempest Slice)
The Rankyaku technique turns sudden movement into an explosive ranged area attack that detonates upon reaching it's destination or coming into contact with a solid object. The attack can initially travel a distance of up to 30 feet and detonates out to a radius of up to 5 feet (either or both the distance and the radius can be less if desired). It deals damage appropriate to the melee weapon or natural weapon used to generate the attack (bludgeoning, piercing, slashing) and can gain bonus damage from sources that would improve attack damage Targets affected are allowed a dexterity save DC 10 + 1/2 haki fighter level + haki fighter constitution modifier for half damage. This ability requires both a bonus and standard action to perform. This attack requires focus and any concentration is lost to use this move.
At 7th Level the distance travelled increases by 10 feet and the explosion radius increases by 5 feet, These are Improved again at levels 11, 15 and 18.
Add additional damage die at each level improvement as well. i.e. A short sword that deals 1d6 damage would increase to 2d6 at level 7 and then 3d6 at 11, 4d6 at 15 and finally 5d6 at 18.
Rokuogan (6 King Gun)
The Rokuogan is the secret seventh and ultimate attack of the Rokushiki style. Only those who have absolute mastery of the other six skills can have access to this seventh skill. The user places both their fists right in front of the target to focus their physical strength to launch a devastating shock wave in a forward direction. Capable of bypassing the defences of even Immunity to physical damage and causes massive internal injuries. This is only used during desperate situations as using it takes a great toll on the body. It dons't cost any Haki points but can only be used once every long rest.
This special technique causes massive damage and the intended target has to take a dexterity save at disadvantage beating the users 8 + Proficiency + Dex Modifier + Wis Modifier. Any creature behind the target in a 30ft cone also has to take the dexterity save, but not at disadvantage, taking half damage on a save. This attack deals 10d6+40 force damage.
Shigan (Finger Pistol)
The shigan technique turns focus into striking power to penetrate defences. As a concentration, for the next minute, all weapon and natural weapon attacks made by the Haki fighter are improved in effectiveness. For every points of Haki, melee weapon and natural weapon attacks gain a +1 bonus on damage and attack rolls.
At 11th level this upgrades to +2 bonus on damage and attack rolls.
at 17th level this upgrades to +3 bonus on damage and attack rolls.
Soru (Shave)
The Soru technique turns jumping power into horizontal speed rather than vertical distance. When used, for the next minute, the haki fighter's movement speed increases by 10 feet. If this technique is used again within the same minute add a level of exhaustion. This Rokushiki Technique does not require concentration but can't be used with Geppo.
At 8th level the user gains an additional 5 feet of movement.
At 11th level the user gains an additional 5 feet of movement and is under the affect of the haste spell. On top of haste normal affects you also gain a point of exhaustion after the effects end.
At 14th level the user gains another 5 feet of movement.
At 17th level the user gains another 5 feet of movement and can now use Soru with Geppo
Tekkai (Iron Body)
The Tekkai technique turns focus into physical toughness. Once per day, the haki fighter can make a concentration check to gain 5 temporary hit points. These temporary hit points persist until lost.
This is increased to 10 hit points at 7th level, 15 hit points at 10th level, 20 hit points at 15th level and 25 hit points at 18th level.
Kingly Aura
Upon activating their Haki it ebbs and flows in all of their surroundings. Tied to emotions the Haki users Kingly Aura subconsciously either draws friends in with their good intentions or mentally warns foes of the danger and killing intent they posses.
Observation Haki Awakening
At 7th level, the Haki fighter gains access to the form of haki he did not start with at 3rd level.
