Base Class: Barbarian
The bell tolls, signaling the end when these Barbarians rage. Not wild strikes, but precise and controlled. They move faster than any man could blink, and all who are near can hear the ticking of a clock as they push themselves farther.
Barbarians of the Path of The Turning Cog are aligned with Mechanus in a way never before seen. Rather than strictly maintaining balance, though these Barbarians do trend toward lawfulness, they are able to embody the cogs of Mechanus and affect the very flow of time around them.
Skill Proficency
3rd level Path of The Turning Cog feature
When choosing this path, you begin to live faster. This applies to your senses, allowing you to observe and absorb more information. If you do not already have proficiency, you gain proficiency with Perception.
Time Counter
3rd level Path of Marching Time feature
Once per rage, you have the ability to freeze time for a split second, allowing you to counter attack. If a creature attempts to hit you with a melee (weapon or spell) attack, you can use your reaction to roll your own attack. If you hit, the opposing attack is a miss.
You gain an additional chance to use this ability at 6th and 10th level, and at 14th level it no longer uses your reaction.
Time Lock
6th level Path of The Turning Cog feature
You've learned to apply your time manipulation outside yourself. An amount of times per long rest equal to your proficiency bonus, you can use your reaction to lock time in place in a 5 ft cube as long as you can see the creature or object. Large or larger creatures or objects are only locked in the 5ft cube, so things can still act or move outside of that space.
Objects are locked until you drop them, Creatures are locked for one minute on a failed Charisma saving throw versus 8 + your prof bonus + your Con mod.
Time Freeze
10th level Path of The Turning Cog feature
As a bonus action an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest, you can freeze time. While Time is frozen, you can move, interact with objects, and move creatures. Moving a creature halves your movement, and you can only do so if they are your size or smaller. If you attack in any way you have advantage, but it ends the Time Freeze.
Time Jump
14th level Path of The Turning Cog feature
You've mastered your time abilities. While raging, as an action you may freeze and unfreeze time to jump between spaces and attack an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus, as long as you can see them. The distance you travel between two spaces cannot be more than your movement, but you do not use movement while this ability is active.
Enemies can take an attack of opportunity when you disappear from them, but at disadvantage.
When you do this, you cannot take actions or reactions until the end of your next turn.
