Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

As the warm summer air begins to turn into the cool breeze of winter, you understand that though life may seem to wither away, there is still beauty within this decay. Like the vibrant, green leaves of a tree turning a muted orange, Oath of the Harvest paladins serve as a guiding force throughout the changing times to ensure that life can grow anew once more. Though not always the gallant hero rushing out into battle to defend all that is good, these paladins tend to serve as farmers, artisans, and even merchants to help ensure that all will be able to survive through the harsh winters that are to come so they can bloom once again as the seasons change.

Those who take upon this duty swear an oath of empathy and compassion above all else. While combat is not frowned upon, these paladins devote themselves to protection and generally consider violence to be a last resort. The gods to who these noble souls swear themselves to tend to fall within the domains of nature, peace, and good fortune, as those who wish for such benefits tend to be farmers or those who find themselves more connected to nature than others.

Tennets of the Harvest:

Sharing the Harvest. Don't horde all of your bounty just for yourself, share amongst your friends to laugh over drink and song.

Work the Fields. One does not grow their crop in just a day, so take your time and ensure that it is cared for properly.

Prepare for Winter. Time does not wait for those who stand idly by, ensure that you will have enough for you and those you care for to survive the changing seasons.

Autumn Blessings. You gain the ability to further attune to nature. As a bonus action, you grant yourself a +5 bonus to Nature and Survival checks for the next 10 minutes

Bountiful Field. You gain the ability to manifest a field blessed by the forces of the autumn season. As an action, you can create a 30 ft. field that lasts for 1 minute and grants the following effects:

  • Each friendly creature within the field regains hit points equal to your proficiency modifier at the start of their turns. This effect disappears if the creature drops below 0 hp.

Aura of the Fall

At 7th level, you emit an aura that fills you and your allies with warmth and comfort, shielding you from the changing seasons. When you and any friendly creatures are within 10 ft. of you, they gain resistance to cold damage. They also gain the ability to see through fog, mist, and other similar meteorological phenomena.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 ft.

Bountiful Harvest

At 15th level, you have gained the ability to share the fruits of your labor with those around you. When a creature within makes a saving throw within 30 ft. of you, you can use your reaction to grant them advantage against the saving throw.

Autumn Incarnate

At 20th level, you have been blessed by your god with the ability to transform into a being representing the autumn season. The appearance of the form can be chosen by the player so long as it relates to the season of harvest and change.

The form takes an action to activate and lasts for 1 minute. The form grants the following benefits:

  • You become immune to cold damage
  • Any creature who moves within 10 ft. of you must take 1d8 necrotic damage. If any creature ends their turn within range of you, they must take 1d10 necrotic damage.
  • Whenever a creature is reduced to 0 hp within 10 ft. of you, you gain hp equal to that of your Charisma modifier

Once you use this feature, you cannot use until you finish a long rest.
