Base Class: Wizard
Bariurgy is a defensive combat-centric school of magic, meant to weave static or kinetically-charged barriers of solidified mana and energy. It uniquely relies on a caster's physical strength, instead of mental aptitude for its' spells.
While there are some ways to creatively apply Bariurgy for the purposes of utility, such as temporary platforms, their use is limited by their (usual) inability to be moved.
Bariurgy allows a Wizard to pull from the Paladin spell list.
Natural Defender
When learning spells from the Bariurgy school, roll a D4. On a 3 or 4, learning it is free and you may instead choose another spell.
This can only occur a max of once per level-up.
Lesser Reinforcement
Once per day, you may lay your hands on a creature wearing Heavy armor, granting it +1 to its' AC for one hour.
Directional Control
You can now use your action to move an "Instant Cover" barrier you control up to 30 ft. to an unoccupied space that you can see.
No Matter the Cost
When you fail concentration on a bariurgy spell, you may choose to take damage equal to twice its' level to roll again.
You can choose to utilize this ability as many times as you wish.
Beacon of Stalwart Hope
Starting at 14th level, when Clashing alongside at least one ally, you may forego your roll to give all allies advantage on the Clash. You must declare your intent to do so before rolls are made.
If your allies fail the clash, only you suffer the consequences.
