Base Class: Monk
Those who choose the Way of the Closed Fist hone their bodies into the perfect weapon. Overcoming any foe with brutal determination and an unyielding endurance. Using ki to push their bodies beyond their physical limits the Closed Fist can strike with the speed and force of a meteor.
Way of the Closed Fist
Starting when you take this tradition at 3rd level, you become an unstoppable aggressor. Once per turn when you make an unarmed strike you may empower your attack in the following ways. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and regain all uses on a short or long rest.
- Unstoppable Fist: When you make an attack roll you can choose to forego rolling a d20 and instead take 10 on the die.
- Unrelenting Assault: After missing with an attack roll, you may use your reaction to take the grapple action against the target.
- Focused Aggression: After missing an attack roll, you may use your reaction to gain an AC bonus equal to one roll of your martial arts dice, until the end of your next turn.
Brutal Tide
In addition at 3rd level, you gain the ability to apply your Constitution modifier to your ki save DC and Unarmored Defense instead of your Wisdom.
Centered Strike
Beginning at 6th level, you learn where your enemy is weakest through repeated strikes. Each unarmed strike after the first that hits the same target increases your damage by an additional roll of your martial arts dice equal to the number of successful attacks you have made during your turn to a maximum of 2 additional rolls. The maximum number of rolls increase as you gain levels in this class. (At 11th level 3 rolls, at 16th level 4 rolls).
Fury Fist
In addition at 6th level, you are the most focused while fighting. As an action you make an unarmed strike against a creature it must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save you regain 1 ki point.
Blistering Fist
Beginning at 11th level, you can strike with unnatural speed. On your turn when you use Flurry of Blows feature, you can spend 3 ki points to make an additional unarmed strike. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and regain all expended uses at the end of a long rest.
Iron Fist
At 17th level, you gain the ability to channel your ki into one devastating attack. Once per turn when you make a successful unarmed strike, you can spend 6 ki points and deal 5d10 force damage to the target. They must succeed a Strength or Dexterity saving throw or be pushed away from you in a straight line up to 60ft. If there is an object, creature, or solid surface in the line of travel, the target hits it, coming to a complete stop. The target takes an additional 5d10 force damage if it is stopped in this way. If the target is stopped in this way by a creature, that creature must make a Strength or Dexterity saving throw, on a failed save they take 5d10 force damage and half as much on a success. Objects and other solid surfaces automatically fail this save and take full damage.
