Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of Fortune calls to paladins who seek freedom and enjoy chance. They recognize the inevitability of the forces of chaos. Sometimes called gambling knights or luck bringers, those who swear this oath rarely gather into orders, serving gods or philosophies of chance, trickery and freedom.

Some of these paladins might find a patron in Avandra, the Changebringer or Sehanine, the Moonweaver. Archfeys such as Titania and Oberon, might also employ many of these paladins among their ranks, and the more cruel members might be found working for demons lords of the Abyss. Gambling knights often carry lucky trinkets as a spell casting focus, and never back away from an opportunity to undermine any sort of authority. These knights are often most fiercely opposed by the forces of order, be they celestial or infernal.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

1) Store luck:
Whenever a creature you can see makes d20 test within 30ft of you, you can use a reaction to force a reroll and save the original number rolled on the dice. You choose to do so after the dice is rolled, but before the outcome is determined.
Any time before your next long rest, when a creature you can see rolls a d20 test within 30ft of you, you can apply the result stored to that test. You must choose to do so before the dice is rolled.

2) Embrace Chaos:

As a bonus action, you can call of the forces of chaos to interfere. For the next minute, every time you use a divine smite or cast a spell, you roll a d20. On a 10 or lower, you roll on the wild magic table.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Oath of Devotion Spells

Aura of Luck

Starting at 7 level, while you’re not incapacitated, creatures of your choice within 10 feet of you crit on a 19 or 20. Additionally, whenever they crit, you have advantage on the first d20 test you make within the next minute.

When you reach 18th level in this class, the aura affects creatures within 30 feet of you and they also crit on an 18.

Favored by Chance

Beginning at 15th level, you are always under the effects of a bless spell.

Balance is for the weak

Once per long rest, you can use an action to become an avatar of fortune for 1 minute. You gain the following benefits:

1) 2 legendary resistances.
2) Your first attack roll of every turn has advantage.
3) Enemies within 30ft of you make saving throws against your spells with disadvantage.
