Base Class: Barbarian
Why carry a blade when you can punch your enemies in the face? Brawler Barbarians use their rage infused strength to overcome opposition with their fists.
Unarmed Combat
Beginning at 3rd level when you select this path, you have mastered the combat technique of unarmed strike. Your unarmed strike now deals 1d4 + your strength modifier damage upon hitting an opponent. You can also use your bonus action to make an additional unarmed strike against your opponent. You are proficient with unarmed strike.
Unarmed strike does additional damage to opponents at 5th level (1d6), 11th level (1d8), and 17th level (1d10).
Stunning Strike
Starting at 6th level, whenever you hit an opponent with an unarmed strike while raging, you can choose to make the opponent make a DC *8 + proficiency bonus + strength modifier Constitution saving throw or become stunned until the end of your next turn. You can use this ability three times per long rest.
At higher levels, you have more charges of this ability. At 11th level (5 charges), at 17th level (7 charges),
Combat Grappling
Starting at 10th level, you learn how to use grapples as an advantage in combat. You can now use an action on a grabbled target to do one of the following:
- Throw the target - You must succeed another contested strength check against your target. Once you succeed you can throw the target 5 * your strength modifier feet from you in any direction. The target takes 1d10 + strength modifier + your proficiency bonus damage. The target also takes 1d6 fall damage per 10 feet that it falls.
- Smash the target - You must succeed another contested strength check against your target. Once you succeed, you can smash the target against any object, including yourself, that is within your reach. You can move closer to an object if needed, but your movement speed is halved while doing so. The target takes 2d6 + your strength modifier + your proficiency bonus bludgeoning damage. The target is still considered grappled by you.
- Crush the target - You must succeed another contested strength check against your target. Once you succeed, you can squeeze the target in your arms, causing 1d8 + your strength modifier + your proficiency bonus damage.
Deflect melee attack
Starting at 14th level, whenever you are hit by a melee attack, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage of it by 1d10 + your strength modifier + your proficiency bonus.
If you reduce the damage to 0 and the target is within your melee range, you can retaliate against the target who attacked you with one melee attack. All modifiers and bonuses are applied to this attack if it is an unarmed strike.
