Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

Your deity is an all encompassing concept of decay, and rebirth from the demise of other beings. As a Cleric of The Withering Storm, you will be granted powers of life and death, and your ability to command these forces will only grow as you develop your powers of the wilt and bloom.

Instincts of a Dead God

At 1st level, you gain the ability to sense the divine aura of others who serve a deity. Twice per day, as an action, you can see a faint aura around any creature within your line of sight that has a connection to any deity. You can see an aura that gives you a sense of what that deity is a god of.

Withering Flame

At 1st level, you gain the ability to manifest and manipulate the blighted flame of The Withering Storm.

As an action, a flickering black and white flame appears in your hand. The flame remains there for the duration and harms neither you nor your equipment. The flame sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet. The flame extinguishes if you dismiss it as an action or if you conjure it again.
You can also attack with the flame, although doing so ends this feature. When you activate this ability, or as an action on a later turn, you can hurl the flame at a creature within 50 feet of you. Make a ranged spell attack. On a hit, the target takes a d8 fire damage equal to your Cleric level, and 1d6 + your Wisdom modifier of necrotic damage.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Channel Divinity: Avatar of The Withering Storm

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to become the physical embodiment of The Withering Storm.

As an action, you can unleash the withering blaze within you. You magically wreathe yourself in swirling black and white flame, as your eyes glow bright white. For 5 minutes, you gain the following benefits:

  • You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet or you shed magical darkness in a 30-foot radius. The darkness spreads around corners. A creature with darkvision can’t see through this darkness, and nonmagical light won't illuminate it.
  • Any creature takes fire damage equal to your Wisdom modifier + your Cleric level if it hits you with a melee attack from within 5 feet of you or if it touches you.
  • Whenever you roll fire damage on your turn, the roll gains a bonus equal to your Wisdom modifier.
  • You gain a flying speed of 5 x your Wisdom modifier.

You can use this feature a number of times per day equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Giver and Taker of Life

Starting at 6th level, when a creature you can see or hear within 30 feet of you should roll a die for a death saving throw, a damage roll, or to regain hit points, you can use your reaction to choose whether the result of that roll is the minimum of that die, or the maximum of that die. You must use this feature before the roll is made. Once you have used this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

At 17th level, you can use this feature twice and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Wreathed in the Decaying Blaze

Starting at 8th level, you gain immunity to fire damage and resistance to necrotic damage.

Phoenix of Death and Reincarnation

At 17th level, as an action, you can cast True Resurrection or Power Word: Kill without expending a spell slot, or the need for Somatic or Material components. You can use this feature an amount of times per day equal to your Wisdom modifier.

You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
