Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

You have become an avatar of an entity outside of our existence known as The Spiral, The Twisting Deceit, Es Mentiras (It is lies), or It Is Not What It Is. It is based on the fear of madness, that your world isn’t right, that your mind is lying to you. It deals with deception, lying, deceiving the mind and senses. The Spiral is associated with fractal patterns, hallucinations, doubt of sanity, impossible geometry, maddening realms and dimensions, doors and mazes.

Expanded Spell List

The Spiral lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

The Throat of Delusion Incarnate

Starting at 1st level, when attempting to deceive someone, rather than making a deception check, the target of your deceit must succeed on a DC 23 Wisdom (Insight) saving throw in place of you having to make a deception check to see if they are deceived. Furthermore, you immediately know if someone is attempting to lie to you.

Warped Reality

Starting at 6th level, you can reach that which you should not be able to. As an action, you can make a DC 15 Constitution check. If you succeed, you can then reach through one object of your choice and remove something from within. You can reach inside any object, including living creatures, and can remove living creatures and small objects that cause damage, etc.

Existential Travel

Beginning at 10th level, you can teleport to any location you are aware of as an action. You do not have to have ever been to this place before, but you must have an idea of what it looks like.

Fractal Corridors

Starting at 14th level, you can now manifest doors at will as a bonus action. These doors can appear anywhere and lead to corridors controlled by you. These corridors' floor plan looks like a fractal, except the corridors never get smaller. The corridors are not bound by the laws of physics and can be entered even when the door should open into empty air. The door can appear in any variety of ways but most commonly is plain and painted a shade of yellow. The corridors are carpeted and have a long rug which runs down the middle, and walls are papered over in a swirling pattern. The colours of the wallpaper, carpet, and rug are mutable and would shift over time. On the walls hang electric lamps spaced approximately ten feet apart, as well as paintings and photographs of the corridor viewed from strange angles and the occasional mirror. They are a physical manifestation of the Spiral itself and are an extension of you. Once per long rest, you can attempt to trick a creature into entering this door. When inside the corridor, the victim cannot sleep, and they have no food and water unless they bring their own. Once a victim dies, their body is destroyed. Until this happens, as long as you have at least one victim in the corridors, you do not need sustenance. You still need rest though. Once you have done this 1d4d20 times, you can no longer consume normal sustenance and must use the corridors instead.
