Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of the Four Winds is the conviction that souls should live as the breeze. As such this Oath is rarely found in any one location, heard of on the open roads by travelers, drifters, and bards who sing of knights that come to give brief but wonderful succor to those around them before leaving as quick as they came. Never bound to any lord or master, save for the wind that blows free.

These Free Paladins are often heard traveling frequently, never staying in one place for too long as they may be needed elsewhere. Few understand the drive of these knights but many have speculated that many are adventurers or pilgrims that seek a world free of suffocating order, helping those under tyranny and giving those every person a choice in life.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Gale Aura. You can use your Channel Divinity to create a 10ft radius of roaring winds to shield you from harm. For 1 minute, you are under the same effects as Warding Wind.

Skyborne Stride. You can use your Channel Divinity to have your body feel weightless, gaining a flying speed equal to your movement speed for 1 minute. After the effects end, you will begin to fall, but will land safely upon any ground that you touch, thus not taking any fall damage.

Elusive Aura

Beginning at 7th level, your aura makes you and others feel light on their feet. You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you will have any opportunity attacks made against them at disadvantage. This effect begins when a creature starts its turn in the aura and ends at the end of their turn.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Unweighted Spirit

Beginning at 15th level, you are always under the effects of an Expeditious Retreat spell.

Knight of the Wind

At 20th level, you've become a symbol of freedom. As an action, your form gains a translucent appearance as you emit a gentle breeze around you, and for 1 minute you gain the following benefits:

  • Your movement is doubled.
  • All attack rolls made against you are at disadvantage.
  • You have advantage on all Dexterity checks and Dexterity Saving Throws.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
