Base Class: Sorcerer
I dunno, I just thought a nature based sorcerer would be cool, I didn't think of any flavor text. This is just a first draft and I didn't want it to come out too overpowered so if some features seem a bit underpowered or lackluster, let me know so I can improve on it in later iterations!
Primal Magic
Your link to primal magic allows you to learn spells normally associated with the druid class. When your Spellcasting feature lets you learn a sorcerer cantrip or a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose the new spell from the druid spell list or the sorcerer spell list. You must otherwise obey all the restrictions for selecting the spell, and it becomes a sorcerer spell for you.
Seasonal Flux
You can choose one season to attune to for one of four benefits. It takes a long rest to shift this season, or short rest if you’re changing into a season matched by your current surroundings (ie you’re changing to winter while in the middle of a cold tundra, DM's discretion)
- Spring : You can cast a cantrip with a casting time of one action either immediately before or after you take the Dash action as a free action.
- Summer : Whenever you use a spell of 1st level or higher to restore hit points to a creature, the creature regains additional hit points equal to your charisma modifier.
- Fall : You can add a d4 to the hit roll of a spell you cast or subtract a d4 from the saving throw of one of the spell’s targets that you can see, possibly changing the outcome. You can do this twice per long rest.
- Winter : 1st level or higher spells that deal cold/necrotic damage deal an extra 1d6 of damage to one targeted creature.
Deadly Harvest
At sixth level, just as you can instinctively channel the flowing energies of life magic to nurture and heal, you learn how to also stem the flood, or leech it away altogether.
When you kill a non-Construct creature, you can use a reaction to either regain a number of expended sorcery points equal to your charisma modifier (to a minimum of 1) or temporary HP equal to the creature’s CR multiplied by 2.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Regrowth
At 14th level, you have learned to channel the flowing energies of nature through your body to reknit wounds or even reconnect severed limbs. You can use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to 1d6 + your sorcerer level. Additionally, if you put a severed body part of yours back in place when you use this feature, the part reattaches. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Seasonal Epitome
At 18th level, you are able to summon a microcosm of your attuned season about you for aid or harm (that sounds clunky, I know). You can conjure a 30ft aura around you that corresponds to your attuned season by spending 6 sorcery points as a bonus action. The aura remains for a minute. It ends early if you are incapacitated, if you die, or if you dismiss it as a bonus action.
- Spring : You and friendly creatures within the aura increase your speed by 30ft and can make a weapon attack as a bonus action.
- Summer : At the beginning of your turn or immediately after the aura is conjured, you can select a number of creatures up to your charisma modifier in range. They either heal 3d6 or must make dexterity saving throw against your sorcerer spell DC and take 3d6 radiant damage on a failure.
- Fall : You get a temporary pool of sorcery points for the duration of the aura that begins at 2 sorcery points. Each creature you kill with a spell influenced by a metamagic effect adds a sorcery point to the pool (to a maximum of 1 per turn). Points from this temporary pool cannot be spent to use Seasonal Epitome
- Winter : At the beginning of your turn or immediately after the aura is conjured, you may target a number of creatures within your aura equal to your charisma modifier. Each creature must make a constitution save against your sorcerer spell DC. Each target takes 4d6 cold damage and reduces their speed to 0 on a failure or takes half damage on a success.
