Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The Path of Untethered Lightning allows you to traverse the battlefield at high speeds, weaving through enemies while letting off bursts of thunderous energy, and even leaping through the air straight into the fray of a battle.

Volt Dash

When you choose this path at 3rd level, you can empower your steps with lightning.

While you are raging, you can use a bonus action to dash, and at any point during your movement you can release a burst of lighting. Each creature in a 10 foot radius around you must make a dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 1d8 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. This damage increases to 2d8 at 9th level, 3d8 at 14th level, and 4d8 at 17th level. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and gain all expended uses when you complete a short or long rest.

The DC for this ability is equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your constitution bonus

Unstoppable Speed

Starting at 6th level, your affinity to lightning grows stronger, making you hard to pin down, and you gain resistance to lightning damage. Additionally when you are raging, you gain the following benefits. Your movement does not provoke opportunity attacks, and you can stand up from prone using only 5 feet of movement, as well as having advantage on dexterity saving throws made to avoid an enemy attack or spell.

Lightning Strikes

Starting at 10th level, you can imbue your weapon with lightning. Whenever you use your Volt Dash ability, you can choose to make your weapon attacks do lightning damage as opposed to their normal damage. This effect lasts until the end of your next turn.

Storm-Forged Leap

Starting at 14th level, you can leap through the air releasing massive bursts of energy.  While you are raging, you can use an action to instantly fly up to 60 feet to an unoccupied location on the ground. When you land, you release a burst of lightning, and each creature within 20 feet of you must make a strength saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 5d8 lightning damage, is knocked prone, and stunned until the end of your next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half the damage and is not knocked prone or stunned.

Once you use this ability, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest
