When you choose the path of the Maw at 3rd level you gain some of the power beholden with the unending maw. its power is alluring and deadly both to your enemies and yourself. Those who the Maw infects are consumed by its power, over time becoming all-consuming monsters, some become gibbering mouthers, weak and beholden only to their hunger, others become monstrous spellcasters capable of consuming the power of others, others become beasts of blood, needing to consume it to survive, fewer still are subject to the most powerful of its curses. the Path of the Maw is the weaponization of those who maintain their sanity upon this path, at least for now.

Hunger of the Maw

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, when you rage, you gain the power of the Maw. Whenever you make a melee attack against a creature, you gain temporary hit points equal to half the damage you dealt. (These temporary hit points can stack only with the temporary hit points from this ability). whenever you make an attack you may spend Temporary hit points equal to your Constitution Modifier + Proficiency Modifier to increase the damage you deal by that much.

Additionally,  when your rage ends, you take damage equal to your temporary hit points.

Hunger like Death

Beginning at 6th level, You gain the following abilities:

Fleshgorge. You make a melee bite attack against a damaged creature, if it dies you may convert any number of your temporary hit points into hit points, if they did not die, double the number of temporary hit points you gain from this attack. the damage dice for this attack is 1d10, the dice increase by 1d10 at 10th level to 2d10,  and again at 15th level to 3d10.

Spelldrinker. If you succeed a saving throw caused by a spell effect while raging, gain temporary hit points equal to the total damage instead of taking damage.

Additionally, if you attempt to make an attack on an undamaged creature while adjacent to a damaged creature you must make a Wisdom Saving throw DC (Your level + Constitution Modifier) or the attack targets the damaged creature.

Unerring Hunger

Beginning at 10th level, your hunger has become insatiable, you are immune to all negative effects from things that are ingested, magical or otherwise. While raging you gain access to the following reactions:

Unending Appetite. Once per long rest, as a reaction while raging you may expend all of your temporary hit points, turning all of them into hit points, any overflow is lost.

Hunger of the Maw. As a reaction, when a spell or spell-like effect is cast you may cast counterspell using Constitution as your spellcasting modifier, if you succeed, gain temporary hit points equal to 10 x the spells level, or if it does not have a level, the CR of the creature which cast it. you can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Hunger Like No Other

Starting at 14th level, when you make an attack, you must attack the creature which has taken the most damage among all creatures within range.

Additionally, as a Bonus Action, you may convert hit points and temporary hit points at a 2:1 Ratio, rounding down. ex. 10 hit points to 20 temp hit points or 15 temp hit points into 7 hit points. you cannot convert temporary hit points into hit points you cant gain. additionally when you use this ability to gain more hit points than your Constitution Score immediately end your rage.
