Base Class: Ranger
The Amazon is a powerful woman warrior of the Askari, who belongs to nomadic bands who roam the plains near the South Sea. The wandering of these groups often brings them into conflict with other peoples, so the Amazon is accustomed to fighting to defend her own. This lifestyle has made her fiercely independent and able to weather severe hardship and travel. While her skill with the Bow rivals that of the Rogues, the Amazon is also adept in the use of Spears and Javelins, as well as in hand to hand combat. Amazon Weapons are items which only Amazons can equip. These are special Bows, Javelins and Spears. The Amazon is much sought after as a mercenary, in which type of service she will be loyal as long as her own ends are also served.
Martial Combat
3rd-Level Javelin Amazon Feature
You have trained in the art of close quarters combat. You gain the following benefits:
Martial Training. You gain proficiency in spears, javelins, heavy armor, and shields.
Decoy. You learn the minor illusion cantrip, silent image, and mirror image which are ranger spells for you.
Javelin Expert
3rd-Level Javelin Amazon Feature
Thanks to extensive practice with the javelin, you gain the following benefits:
- You ignore the loading quality of javelins with which you are proficient.
- Being within 5 feet of a hostile creature doesn’t impose disadvantage on your ranged attack rolls with javelins.
- When you use the Attack action and attack with a one handed javelin, you can use a bonus action to throw attack with a javelin you are holding.
Valkyrie
7th-Level Javelin Amazon Feature
As an action, you can magically summon the valkyrie that is bound to you. It appears in an unoccupied space of your choice within 30 feet of you.
The valkyrie is friendly to you and your companions, and it obeys your commands. See its game statistics in the accompanying Valkyrie Companion stat block, which uses your proficiency bonus (PB) in several places. Whenever you summon the valkyrie, choose a damage type listed in its Valkyrie Essence trait. You can determine the cosmetic characteristics of the valkyrie, such as its color, its armor texture, or any visible effect of its Valkyrie Essence; your choice has no effect on its game statistics.
In combat, the valkyrie shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It can move and use its reaction on its own, but the only action it takes on its turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take another action. That action can be one in its stat block or some other action. If you are incapacitated, the valkyrie can take any action of its choice, not just Dodge.
The valkyrie remains until it is reduced to 0 hit points, until you use this feature to summon the valkyrie again, or until you die. Anything the valkyrie was wearing or carrying is left behind when the valkyrie vanishes.
Once you summon the valkyrie, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a spell slot of 1st level or higher to summon it.

Lightning Fury
11th-Level Javelin Amazon Feature
You brandish the javelin used and make a melee or thrown attack with it against one creature within 30 feet of you. On a hit, the target suffers the weapon attack’s normal effects + 2d6 lightning damage, and you can cause lightning to leap from the target to a different creature of your choice that you can see within 5 feet of it. The second creature takes lightning damage equal to 2d6 + your proficiency bonus.
