Path of the Dancing Skeleton

These barbarians believe death off the battlefield denies a persons soul entry to the afterlife. To help their friends and family get to the afterlife they wear their bones while adventuring to help them die an honorable death in combat.

Being a bone bearer is a special honor in their tribes, and they often spend the rest of their lives helping others to the afterlife. Stoping for short breaks to learn about the person they are helping, burning the bones of those that have already crossed, of course seeking danger to die appropriately. 

Wearing the bones of their people, friends, and family is a personal preference and they may display them in various ways, but the most common is to have the bones attached at the appropriate place over black paint to look like an animated skeleton in dark under torchlight. 

Dance of the Dead

When you choose this path at 3rd level,while you are wearing the proper bones,  you gain the ability to make a Dex (intimidate) check as an action in combat against a creature that can see you, that isn't immune to fear. 

That creature makes a wisdom save vs your total. On a save, they cannot be effected by this ability this combat. On a failure, they must do one of the following on their turn.  — use all movement to move you away from you, include you in an attack, or go fully defensive.

Any creature that is under this effect gets a wisdom save at the end of each of their turns to end this effect. 

 

Blessings of the Dead

 Beginning at 6th level you gain have Resistance to Necrotic damage while raging. 

Also, when as spell is cast that would effect bones within 5 ft of you, you can choose to have it not effect any bones you possess. This is a divine enchantment that can be dispelled as though it were a 3rd level spell. 

also, you gain a +1 bonus to death saves, armor class, attack rolls, and saving throws equal to the number of times you have failed the death save in this combat. 

Dancing Attack

Beginning at 10th level, You can use the Dance of the Dead action as a free action as part of an attack action against a creature. This use of Dance of the Dead must target the same creature you are attacking.

Fear the Dead

Creatures under the effect of your dance of the dead ability get a -2 fear penalty to attack rolls while you can can be seen.
