Base Class: Monk
The few monks who follow the Way of the Ketsuryugan have manifested the Blood Dragon Eyes also known as the Ketsuryugan. Monks who possess the Ketsuryugan are masters of blood manipulation and use their ocular powers to affect the minds and bodies of their enemies while simultaneously bolstering their abilities. These monks are usually charming and cunning, using their influence to reach whatever goals they have. They are also fierce combatants who use their blood as a weapon in battle. Skilled users of the Ketsuryugan can control the minds of people and other creatures depending on their level of proficiency. They are some of the most deadly and formidable warriors around.
Blood Dragon Eye
You have obtained the Ketsuryugan, or Blood Dragon Eye, and have a limited ability to use your blood offensively and defensively in combat. Starting at 3rd level, as a bonus action you can spend 1 ki point to expel blood from your body to create a protective veil of blood that floats around your chest, back, arms, and shoulders. This veil lasts for one minute, until you choose to end it (no action required), until you are incapacitated, or die. When activating the veil of blood you take necrotic damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die. This damage can't be reduced in any way. While the veil of blood is active you gain the following benefits:
- Your unarmed strikes gain a reach of 5 feet (10 ft range total).
- Your unarmed strikes deal an extra Martial Arts die of damage.
- You have half-cover.
You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Additionally, you learn the Acid Splash cantrip, using Wisdom as the spellcasting ability modifier.
Enthralling Dragon Eye
Your skill in handling the Ketsuryugan has granted you the ability to control the emotions of those around you. At 6th level, once per turn, as an action, you can choose any number of creatures that you can see within 30 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw against your ki save DC. On a failed save, they are either charmed or frightened by you (your choice) until the end of your next turn. Also, you can spend 1 ki point to do this as a bonus action instead.
Additionally, you can spend 2 ki points to cast the Suggestion spell, without requiring material components.
At 11th level, you can spend 4 ki points to cast the Dominate Person spell.
At 17th level, you can spend 6 ki points to cast the Dominate Monster spell.
Each of these spells uses Wisdom as the spellcasting ability modifier.
Blessing of Exalted Blood
You have developed your Ketsuryugan far enough that your blood fortifies you with vitality. At 11th level, you gain the following benefits:
- Your jump distance is tripled.
- Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
- Your hit point maximum increases by an amount equal to twice your level. Whenever you gain a level hereafter, your hit point maximum increases by an additional 2 hit points.
Curse of Vile Blood
Your mastery of the Ketsuryugan now allows you to inflict massive damage on an opponent by corrupting their blood and body against them. At 17th level, as an action, you can target one creature within 30 feet of you, and you expend 1 to 10 ki points. The target must make a Constitution saving throw and takes 2d8 acid damage per ki point spent on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. Additionally, on a failed save, the target takes an additional 1d8 acid damage per ki point spent at the start of their next turn.
