Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

As a practiced physician, you excel at using critical thinking to save and end lives. You rely on the medical knowledge your profession provides to assess foes for weakness, and capitalise on that to be as effective as possible in dire situations. Your training has afforded you the ability to help allies, patients, and yourself through the ability to restore vitality, and ensure you are well-equipped to negate any unwanted conditions imposed upon you.

Vital Care

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you develop a talent for keeping those close to you alive. You gain proficiency in Medicine and the Herbalism Kit. Whenever you make a Wisdom (Medicine) check to stabilise a creature, treat a roll of 7 or lower on the d20 as an 8.

Discerning Assessment

Starting at 3rd level, you can use a bonus action to make a Wisdom (Medicine) check to assess a creature for points of weakness. The DC is equal to 5 + the creatures CR or level. On a success, you gain advantage on your next attack roll against this creature.

Constructs, Oozes and Undead are unaffected by this ability.

Draining Strike

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to drain the vitality of your foes. When you use your sneak attack ability on a creature, you may expend a use of this feature to roll half as many sneak attack dice and regain hp equal to the rolled total. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. These are not doubled by critical hits.

Healing Nature

Starting at 9th level, when using your draining strike, you may now instead heal an ally within 30ft of the creature struck. In addition, you may expend an additional use of this feature to heal both yourself and an ally within 30ft.

Experienced Practitioner

Beginning at 13th level, you may use an action to end the following conditions on an allied creature you touch: blinded, deafened, paralyzed, poisoned, or stunned.

In addition, when making a saving throw to be unaffected or to end one of these status effects you may expend this feature to gain advantage. This feature is only expended if the saving throw results in a success. You can use this feature once per short or long rest.

Surgical Strike

At 17th level, you learn to exploit a creature’s weaknesses by striking their vitals with maximum effectiveness. Whenever your discerning assessment feature grants you advantage, you can, on a hit, choose to land a critical hit instead. This feature is usable a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus per long rest.
