Monks of the Way of the Stone Sentinal follow a tradition emboldened by the ability to manipulate the very ground at their feet. While sometimes mistaken as sorcerers or druids, their secrets run far deeper. These monks understand that the earth too is alive, using this knowledge to improve their own resilience or snuff out any imperfections found in their travels, much like the elemental plane of Earth that enhances the ki that they wield. Regardless of their methods, the heads of these monasteries are often secretive, elusive and unquestionably powerful, always watching, and waiting, as Sentinals of their unique beliefs.

Terra Fueled Ki

3rd-level Way of the Stone Sentinal feature

Strong, steadfast, and sturdy, the essence of the elemental plane of Earth fuels your Ki, empowering your monk abilities. As a bonus action, you can expend a ki point to enhance your resilience with the terrain around you. You gain +2 ac for one minute.

Wall of Protection

3rd-level Way of the Stone Sentinal feature

As an action, you can summon a 3ft high, 5ft long, and 1ft deep wall within 5ft of you. This gives half-cover to a medium creature and three-quarters cover to a small or tiny creature. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier per long rest. In addition, you may expend a ki point to do this as a bonus action.

 

Planar Strength

6th-level Way of the Stone Sentinal feature

You gain access to the mold earth cantrip. You also can cast erupting earth and stone shape once per long rest. You may expend 2 ki points to regain a use of one of these spells.

One With the Ground

6th-level Way of the Stone Sentinal feature

Your ability to channel your ki through the earth has afforded you 10ft of tremmorsense. As a reaction to an attack roll made against you within this range, you can make a melee attack against them, moving into an unoccupied space 5ft from the creature to do so. This reaction is usable a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus.  

Earthen Strike

11th-level Way of the Stone Sentinal feature

You can now create a ranged weapon made of stone as a physical manifestation of your extraplanar connection. One of the attacks you make as an attack action becomes a projectile with a range of 60ft in exchange for 2 ki points. The target must succeed a Dexterity saving throw against your Ki save DC, on a failed save the target suffers 4 rolls of your martial arts die of magical bludgeoning damage and half that damage on a success. If the target fails the saving throw and is size Large or smaller, they are considered restrained by the stones that wrap around them. The restrained creature can make a repeated save against your ki save using Strength or Dexterity (their choice) at the end of their turn. At the end of your next turn, the weapon fades.

Solid Stature

17th-level Way of the Stone Sentinal feature

Through your connection to the resilience of the elemental plane of Earth, you have gained an unrivaled physical toughness. You gain resistance to all bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage and if you begin combat with no remaining charges of Wall of Protection or One With the Ground, you regain 1 use when you roll initiative. If you have no remaining uses of either ability, you regain one use of each. 

In addition, your tremor sense increases to 30ft.
