Base Class: Warlock
Your patron is a master of the arcane arts, like a vain archmage of peerless skill or an inscrutable elder sphinx tasked with guarding ancient knowledge. Regardless of who you made your pact with, they have decided to impart some of their intellect to you.
Expanded Spell List
1st-level Arcane Master feature
The Arcane Master lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.
Arcane Master Expanded Spells
Spell Level | Spells |
---|---|
1st | magic missile, shield |
2nd | levitate, web |
3rd | fireball, slow |
4th | arcane eye, private sanctum |
5th | arcane hand, teleportation circle |
Magic Studies
1st-level Arcane Master feature
Your patron teaches you the basics of magic. As a result, you gain proficiency in the Arcana skill and whenever you make an Intelligence (Arcana) or Intelligence (History) check, you gain a bonus to the check equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1).
In addition, you learn an additional cantrip of your choice from the wizard spell list. It counts as a warlock cantrip for you, but doesn’t count against the number of cantrips you know.
Magic Counter
6th-level Arcane Master feature
The teachings of your patron allow you to disrupt hostile magic. You learn the spell counterspell and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you know. You can cast it once without expending a spell slot and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. You can also cast it normally using spell slots you have.
In addition, you add your proficiency bonus to ability checks you make as part of casting the counterspell and dispel magic spells.
Durable Magic
10th-level Arcane Master feature
The magic you channel helps ward off harm. While you maintain concentration on a spell, you have a +2 bonus to AC and all saving throws.
Arcane Versatility
14th-level Arcane Master feature
You have learned to draw upon your patron’s knowledge to seek the information you need. As a bonus action, you can acquire the ability to cast a spell of 6th level or lower from the wizard spell list. You can cast the spell without expending a spell slot, but must still follow all other rules for casting it, including providing expensive components.
If the spell isn’t a warlock spell, it counts as a warlock spell when you cast it. The ability to cast the spell vanishes from your mind when you cast it or when one hour passes.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
