Base Class: Bard
Students of this college are of a different breed than most other bards. While others may be troubadours giving entertainment and joy to the common folk, the college of games is far more focused on one thing; winning. Strategists to their core, games bards love to analyze the battlefield, looking for optimal or amusing solutions. An audience enjoying their unique stratagems is secondary to their own enjoyment of the, "game." Some have called these bards cruel for what they do in battle, while others have said their unique way of thinking has led to easy success. At the end of the day; these bards will do whatever they can to win.
Game Master
3rd-level College of Games feature
You gain proficiency in the Insight skill, and with one gaming set of your choice. You can use a gaming set as your spellcasting focus. Additionally, when you make a check to use a gaming set, you gain a bonus to that roll equal to your Bardic Inspiration die.
Bardic Pawns
3rd-level College of Games feature
As an action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to summon a number of semi-transparent duplicates of yourself equal to your proficiency bonus. These pawns appear in any unoccupied spaces you can see within 60 feet of you and last for 1 minute. If a hostile creature ends their turn within 5 feet of a pawn, the pawn deals force damage to them equal to your Bardic Inspiration die + your Charisma modifier. Your Bardic Pawns have 1 hit point, an AC equal to 12 + your proficiency bonus, and immunity to all conditions.
You can only have a number of bardic pawns summoned equal to your proficiency bonus.
Knighthood
You have improved your ability to manipulate your pawns. As a bonus action, you can command all the pawns you created to move to any unoccupied space that you can see within 15 feet of the pawn. Additionally, if an enemy makes a melee attack against you while you are within 5 feet of one of your pawns, you can use your reaction to swap places with the pawn, making the pawn the target of the enemy's attack.
Checkmate
14th-level College of Games feature
When you or one of your pawns reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can choose to summon a pawn in the creature's space.
A pawn summoned this way cannot exceed your normal limit for total pawns you can summon. This pawn lasts for 1 minute, or until the duration of your Bardic Pawns feature ends (whichever comes first).
