Way of a Thousand Cuts

Monks that study the Way of a Thousand Cuts utilise bladed weapons to slowly decimate their foes through well placed cuts.

One with the Blade

At level 3 you gain the ability to channel ki energy to add the returning property to 1 weapon in your inventory. The weapon must have the thrown property to add this ability to it. The effect dissipates after a long rest and you can do this ability once per long rest and takes 1 action. The number of weapons you can apply this ability to increases at level 6 (2), level 11 (3) and level 17 (4).

Thrower

You gain proficiency with Tridents.

Fan of Knives

At level 3, as a bonus action, you can spend 2 ki points and disengage by jumping back 10ft and unleashing a fan knife attack, a barrage of blades in a cone. Each creature of your choice must make a DEX save against you or take damage equal to your monk weapon.

The cone of blades is a 10ft cone and the cone increases as you reach level 11 (20ft) and level 17 (30ft).

Bleeding Edge

At 6th level, after a successful attack roll while wielding a slashing or piercing damage weapon you are proficient with, you may add 2d4 bleeding damage at the end of your turn.

At the start of the creature’s next turn, they must make a CON save against your DC or take 3d4 bleeding damage at the start of your next turn. The creature must then repeat the save at the end of their turn, with a +1 bonus to the DC. If failed, an additional 1d4 bleeding damage is added on the next turn until a save is successful.

The maximum number of bonuses to DC and damage equal your wisdom modifier. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Logic of the Blade

At level 11, if an attacker within 30ft of you misses you or an ally, who is also within 30ft of you, with an attack, you can use your reaction to make an attack against them. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier per short rest.

Precision points

At level 17, before you attempt to hit a creature with your ranged weapon, you can spend 2 Ki points attempt to use your stunning strike feature at range.
