Base Class: Bard
College of the Quill and Brush
Bards from the College of the Quill and Brush, unlike their musical counterparts, have an equal passion for the literature and visual arts. Choosing to captivate crowds with their fine tuned tales or leaving those in awe of masterpieces being painted or sculpted before their eyes. Interweaving their pictomancy, sciptmancy, and sculpturemancy magic into their artistic medium, they bring their works to life, giving audiences a visual gaze into their art.
Those that have dedicated their studies to the Quill and Brush, are found presenting their demonstrations at public forums, inns and taverns, bidding their works in town center, or presenting pieces during their travels at galleries or even to a kingdom's court should they stumble across them. Earning coin from these means or selling their pieces to the highest bidder or selling their skill set to those willing to pay
Free Your Mind
Also at 3rd level, you learn how infuse your magic and breathe life into your art, bringing forth creative pictures and warping reality. You can choose to expend one of your Bardic Inspirations to choose one of the following effects:
- Paint! Create a picture to bring forth a shelter that will last up to 12 hours or a creature that you can command with your bonus action. The creature's health will be 1/4th of your current health and AC will be half of your AC. If bringing forth a shelter, only up to six medium sized creatures can fit inside. Otherwise the creation will break.
- Speak! Choose a target and begin to bring a tale to life, masterfully imbuing your words invading the target's mind, bringing them believe they are in a new scenario. Used to distract or damage the target. If the target is placed in a hostile setting the target must make an intelligence saving throw. On a failed save the target will take 1d6 psychic damage.
- Carve! Use your woodworking skills to carve out a woodland creature no taller than 4 feet by 4 feet or a warding totem that'll give disadvantage to ranged attacks made against you or your allies within 5 feet of it. If you choose to carve out a woodland creature (badger, fox, hedgehog, squirrel, bat, mouse, lynx, or beaver), as an action, you can control and see through your familiar's eyes and hear what it hears until the start of your next turn, gaining the benefits of any special senses that the familiar has. During this time, you are deaf and blind with regard to your own senses.
