Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

The Improviser is a Rogue who specializes in being up close with enemies, wielding weapons that normal rogues would turn away from in fear of being unwieldy. this Rogue gains proficiencies in medium armor and shields, bypasses the finesse requirement for Sneak Attack, and gains alternate routes to Sneak Attack besides relying on other allies as distractions.

The design idea behind hoodlum is to allow Rogues to function off of Strength instead of just Dexterity, allow the use of skill checks in combat, and give them an option of being an additional body in the front line of the party.

Do Everything You Can

Starting at level 9 you found your opponents are easier to hit when down in the dirt. As a bonus action, you may use the shove action to attempt to push a creature within 5 feet of you prone. The target of your shove must be no more than one size larger than you.

You may now use Arcana checks to identify unknown items. The DC for such items is 10 for common and is increased by 5 for each consequent rarity. (15 for uncommon, 20 for rare and so on.)

You also learn to use scrolls from the wizard spell list.

Face the Odds

When two creatures are within reach of you, you gain the ability to attack twice. If you attack two creatures with this multiattack, they both benefit from your sneak attack, but the second target takes only half of the sneak attack damage.

Analytical Fighter

At level 17 you adapt to your enemies even in the midst of combat.  Whenever you deal damage with Sneak Attack, you may roll a Intelligence (Investigation) check contested by the target’s Wisdom (Insight) check. if you succeed, the target has disadvantage on all attacks against you and you have advantage on all attacks against it for 1 minute, or until you use this ability on a different target. If the creature ends its turn in a way that you can't see it the effect is also ended. On a successful save, the spell ends for that creature.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency, and regain all uses of it on a long rest.

You also gain the ability to take the dodge action as a bonus action.
