Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of Conducting is a college of bard who commonly tour with entire troupes of entertainers, and seldom are found on their own. Sometimes a Ringmaster of a traveling circus, sometimes a lead actor of a touring acting troupe, and sometimes the lead singer of a musical band or even traveling orchestra, the College of Conducting are often "leaders" in a manner of speaking, but like any good leader, they make the rest of those around them perform and look even better. When they grant magical aid to those on their teams, they make those around them truly shine in spectacular ways never accomplished on their own, while humbly directing along with a small baton, or shouting stage directions through a bullhorn, or even magically amplifying their voice to sing with the loud music of their band.

Receiving training in this Bardic College is relatively easy to come by, but due to the rigors of the traveling lifestyles most such bards tend to lead, it's not a College for everyone. There are many unexpected challenges to life on the road, especially when touring with a significantly-sized troupe. These bards must be willing to endure all of the trials of the touring troupe while also learning a significant magical curriculum. Above all, they are diligently trained in how to make the team around them succeed, not in how to empower themselves, and their talents are immediately apparent only when their peers operate like a well-oiled machine in their presence. It suits this college well to learn a heaping helping of humility, which often takes young bards quite a while to fully understand. Once thoroughly trained, however, these bards orchestrate magnificent things into being, simply by causing others around them more amazing, conducting even the efforts of heroes to mightier heights.

Bonus Proficiencies
3rd-level College of Conducting feature

When you gain this class at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Persuasion and in Insight.

Inspiring Speech

3rd-level College of Conducting feature

At 3rd level, you learn the value of being able to have a talk with your team prior to engaging in your plans, clearly communicating your expectations and encouraging positive results. When you choose to, you can even empower your allies to extraordinary capabilities in this way using your Bardic Inspiration. You gain the Inspiring Leader feat, and when you take the 10 minutes inspiring your companions, you can also spend one of your Bardic Inspiration die and roll it. All creatures you chose who received the benefits of your Inspiring Leader feat are treated as if you granted them a Bardic Inspiration die for the next hour after the speech has finished, and when they use it, that die will automatically have the value of the number you rolled when you used this feature.

Astonishing Aid

6th-level College of Conducting feature

At 6th level, you have learned to weave together fields of magic and sound which empower your allies to magical new heights. As an action, you can cast the Enhance Ability spell on each creature of your choice who can hear you within 15 feet of you, and you cast this spell without material components, using a 2nd-level or higher spell slot. When you cast this spell this way, you must choose the same benefit for all of the targets of the spell. You must maintain concentration to continue to grant this benefit to all of the chosen creatures.

Additionally, you can cast your choice of the Aid, Beacon of Hope, or Crusader's Mantle spells once without expending a spell slot. You must finish a short or long rest to cast one of these spells this way again.

Complete Conductor

14th-level College of Conducting feature

At 14th level in this class, you learn the techniques to magically empower those around you with your rhythmic conduction of magic and sound. At the beginning of your turn, you may choose to use an action to Conduct friendly creatures who can see and hear you within 60 feet of you, and you choose bonus action, action, or reaction. Until the beginning of your next turn, other creatures who take the type of action you chose for this feature gain advantage on the first roll, save, or check they make using that type of action.

Additionally, whenever you cast a spell that has a Buff effect, you gain an instance of Humility. You can only have one instance of Humility at one time. Whenever a creature would roll one of your Bardic Inspiration dice, you may expend your instance of Humility to cause that die to roll the highest possible number. For instance, if you, as a level 14 bard cast the Skill Empowerment spell, then you would gain an instance of Humility. Afterwards, any time an ally expends their inspiration die you have granted them, you can immediately expend your Humility to cause that Inspiration Die to have a value of its highest possible roll, which at level 14 would be 10.
