Base Class: Barbarian
Most barbarians are born, but one of the most dangerous type of barbarians is created through a dark history of combat. Soldier barbarians can refine their rage into a strategical focus, enduring enemy blows, directing allies, and setting up precise attacks using tactics drawn from their vast degree of combat experience. Whether its done in a sadistic rage or a cold tactical focus; you will pierce, sever, and break your opponents one way or another.
Focus
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you learn to harness your rage and refine it into a strategical focus. At the start of your rage, you can choose to focus. Regardless of which state you started with, you can choose to switch between your focused state or normal raged state as a bonus action on subsequent turns.
While focusing, you gain the following benefits instead of the normal rage benefits if you aren’t wearing heavy armor:
- You gain advantage on Dexterity checks.
- You can benefit from the Brutal Critical feature while using a ranged weapon.
- When you make a weapon attack using Dexterity, you gain a +1 bonus to the attack rolls.
- You may use your Reckless Attack feature on weapon attacks using Dexterity, however, you only gain advantage on your first attack with that weapon during your turn.
- You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
If you are able to cast spells, you can only cast cantrips while Focusing.

Your focus lasts for 1 minute, if your turn ends and you haven’t attacked a hostile creature or taken damage since your last turn, you can make a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw.
