Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Warlocks make pacts with all manner of unique beings to gain their powers, and of these paths to power, few are as unique as the Ichor Pact. Emanating from ancient Black Dragons, Elder Bog Hags, or even just particularly powerful entities with a penchant for alchemy, the Ichor Pact grants its followers the ability to affect their world through poisons, caustic chemicals, and other unusual fluids which can be used to change the properties of other matter, if not break it down completely. Often resistant to the harms caused by such toxins, the Ichor Pact warlock is one who has undertaken a study of potent chemical change, and can create magical potions as easily as they create dangerous poisons. While the demands of their patrons may be as different from each other as can be, the Ichor Pact warlock always winds up with an advanced knowledge of alchemy as a result of their potent pact.

In Avalestra, the Three Sisters are elder and ancient black dragons who dominate the Sisters' Swamp in Entreben. While it takes a very certain type of disciple to be accepted by any of these wily dragons, this terrible trio will enlist recruits into the Ichor Pact if they come to them seeking magical power. Elsewhere on the continent of Mentus, the Ichor Pact is also taught by the elder Bog Hag Yagah, so there are a few places where an aspiring warlock would learn this magic.

Alchemical Expertise

1st-level Ichor Pact feature

When you choose this pact at 1st level, you gain an understanding of the alchemical sciences and how to use chemicals, potions, and poisons to your advantage. You gain proficiency in Alchemist's Supplies, the Herbalism Kit, and the Poisoner's Kit.

Additionally, if you deal damage with a spell or cantrip that deals acid or poison damage, you can add 1d4 bonus damage of that type to the damage dealt to one creature once per turn. This bonus damage improves to 1d6 at 6th level, 1d8 at 10th level, and 1d10 at 14th level.

Fluid Comprehension

6th-level Ichor Pact feature

At 6th level, you have learned the secrets of how to mix magical power into your alchemical mixtures and concoct new and powerful solutions for yourself and your allies. You may use your Alchemist's Supplies as a focus for your spellcasting, and when you have these or your Herbalist's Kit in your hands, you can use an action to perform one of the following actions:

Acid Flask. You can use an action and an empty flask to magically prepare an acid with which to harm your enemies. Once you have used this action to prepare the acid flask, the acid remains active for a number of rounds equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and at any time while the acid remains active, you may cast Caustic Brew once without expending a spell slot. If you prepare and use two vials in this way, you may cast Caustic Brew as if it were cast with a 2nd-level spell slot once without expending a spell slot. Once you have cast this spell either way, the flask used is empty and may be reused.
Caustic Spray. You learn the Dragon's Breath spell. When you cast this spell with your Alchemist's Supplies as a focus and the damage type you deal is acid or poison damage, you can cause each of the creatures who failed the saving throw for this spell to be covered in caustic fluids. Creatures covered in these caustic fluids must use an action to scrape or wash away these fluids or have an adjacent creature use an action to scrape or wash away these fluids, or at the beginning of your next turn, they suffer half the damage dealt by this spell again, then the fluids evaporate harmlessly.
Healing Flask. You prepare a brief solution of magical healing potion with a very limited shelf life. You can use an action and an empty flask to prepare a healing flask, and once you do, the healing potion remains active for a number of rounds equal to your Proficiency Bonus. While this potion is active, you can use an action to administer the potion to yourself or a creature within 5 feet of you. This potion heals 1d4 + your Charisma modifier hit points, and once it is administered, the flask used is empty and ready to be reused.

Lastly, the damage die of your Alchemical Expertise feature improves to a d6.

Mixture Mastery

10th-level Ichor Pact feature

At 10th level, you learn the powers to increase the healing you can accomplish, and you learn to inflict more harm on targets of your acid and poison magic. You learn the Life Transference spell and when you cast this spell with your Alchemist's Supplies as a focus, you can restore 1d8 additional hit points to the target you heal. This bonus healing increases by 1d8 for each spell level higher than 3rd that you expend to cast this spell.

Additionally, when you have dealt acid or poison damage to a creature, you cause it to be covered in chemicals you can exploit to your advantage. At the beginning or your turn, if you dealt acid or poison damage to a creature or object last turn using a spell or cantrip, you can use a bonus action and roll the damage die from your Alchemical Expertise feature and deal that much damage to each creature or object you dealt damage to this way as your choice of acid or poison damage.

Lastly, the damage die of your Alchemical Expertise feature improves to a d8.

Gods' Bloods

14th-level Ichor Pact feature

At 14th level in this class, you have learned to create the alchemical changes sought after in your chemicals without the need for complex formulas. You no longer require your Alchemist's Supplies in hand to use any of your spells or features, yet you may still use them as a focus if they are on your person.

Additionally, you add the Disintegrate, Regenerate, Abi-Dahlzim's Horrid Wilting, and Invulnerability spells to the Warlock Spell List. Whenever you cast one of these spells or an Ichor Pact Spell, you may choose to magically have a vial become prepared with chemicals for your choice of the Acid Flask or Healing Flask use of your Fluid Comprehension feature as part of the same action, replacing those options' requirement to take an action to prepare them.

Lastly, the damage die of your Alchemical Expertise feature improves to a d10.
