A strange accident has left you changed forever. Struck by lightning and affected by harsh toxins and chemicals, your body now has access to the extra planar dimension of speed. Your connection to this plane gives you unrivaled speed and new powers that stem from your new connection to this speed realm.
Speedster
At 3rd level you begin to truly tap into your new abilities as a Speedster.
Your base walking speed is increased by 30ft more, regardless of race. The effect of becoming a Speedster also results in your body needing more energy to keep up with your speed use. When you eat, you need to consume twice as much as normal to feel sustained. If you go a day without eating as much as you should, you are under the effects of the Slow spell until you complete a short rest to eat the amount your body needs.
The crackling lighting that emits from your body when you tap into your powers also grant you resistance to Lightning damage.
Quick Reflexes
At 3rd level your lightning quick reflexes give you a leg up when a fight breaks out.
You gain advantage on Initiative rolls.
Speedy Recovery
Your super healing helps you recover more quickly. At 3rd level, when you are taking a short rest and you use your hit die(dice) to regain hit points, you get to roll those at advantage.
Quantum Tunneling
Once you reach 6th level you can phase through solid objects with your incredible speed. You can use 10ft of your movement to pass through a 1ft thick solid object. This scales up linearly, so passing through a 5ft solid wall would take up 50ft of your movement. If you stop your turn in the middle of a solid object you take 8d8 force damage and will continue to do so on the end of each of your turns that you stay phased into a solid object.
You cannot use this tunneling effect to pass through magical barriers like a Wall of Force.
Lightning Throw
Your connection to the extra planar realm of speed helps you generate lightning when you move. You can now harness and throw this lightning at your foes.
At 6th level you can use 5 ki points to use the Lightning Bolt spell. Using 2 additional ki points will increase the level of the spell cast by 1, capping at 9th level.
Speed Duplicate
Using your action, you can bring forth a speed duplicate of yourself from the near future. At 11th level you can control a second version of yourself that has traveled back in time to help aid you. It has the exact same statistics that you have at the time of using this ability, being it's only from briefly into the future. It appears within 30ft of you, and acts on your initiative. You and your speed duplicate can share this dimension for only a brief amount of time. The duplicate lasts a number of rounds equal to your Wisdom modifier. At that point, you run back in time, to become the speed duplicate that has already run back.
This ability can only be used once before needing a long rest. You can increase the duration the Speed Duplicate and yourself can share this fold of space and time by 1 round for every 5 ki points you are willing to spend.
If you are knocked unconscious or die before you would run back in time to become the speed duplicate, the version of you from the near future immediately vanishes.
Improved Flurry of Blows
Your attacks are so fast that your strikes are merely perceived as a blur.
At 11th level when you use a ki point to trigger your Flurry of Blows, you can use your bonus action to make 3 unarmed strikes, instead of 2. However all 3 strikes must be on the same target, in succession, with no movement used in between.
You still have the option of using Flurry of Blows in the standard way as well.
Into the Fold
At 17th level, using your action, you can bring yourself and up to 2 other willing creatures into the plane of speed.
You and up to two other creatures you can touch receive the effects of the Time Stop spell.
You roll the 1d4 + 1 to determine how many rounds the spell lasts for all creatures affected. Otherwise the spell acts as normal. If one creature does something to cause the effect of the spell to end early, it only ends for them. The other creatures affected finish the duration of the spell as normal. This ability can only be used once before needing a long rest.
