Base Class: Sorcerer
Your innate magic comes from the primordial power of winter. Many with this power can trace their magic back to ancestors from the frozen wastes, but perhaps you were born during a howling blizzard so powerful that folk still tell stories of it, or your lineage might include the influence of potent air creatures such as djinn. Whatever the case, the magic of the north permeates your being.
Rough Skin
At first level. While you are not wearing any armor, your Armor Class equals 12 + your Constitution modifier and you have resistance to cold damage.
Cryogenic absorb
When you cast a spell of first level or higher that deals cold damage you gain temporary hit points equal to the spell lvl + Charisma modifier.
Frozen Heart Magic
You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Frozen Heart Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.
| Sorcerer Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 1st | Frost fingers, Armor of agathys |
| 3rd | Rime's Binding Ice, Barkskin |
| 5th | Leomund's Tiny Hut, Sleet Storm |
| 7th | Ice Storm, Stoneskin |
| 9th | Cone of Cold, Maelstorm |
Ice tomb
At 6th lvl, as an action you can spend 2 sorcery points to create a 10-foot-radius sphere of blizzard centered on a point within 60 feets of you. The sphere spreads around corners, and its area is heavily obscured. The blizzard last for 1 minute, until your concentration is broken (as if you are concentrating on a spell) or until a wind of moderate or greater speed (at least 10 miles per hour) disperses it. When a creature starts its turn inside the blizzard, it must make a Constitution saving throw against your sorcerer spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature's speed is halved until the end of its current turn.
On each of your turns after you use this feature, you can use your action to move the blizzard up to 20 feet in any direction.
Slippery ice
At 14th lvl. When you cast a spell of first level or higher that deals cold damage, you can spend 3 sorcery points to force any creature that takes damage from the spell to make a Constitution saving throw against your sorcerer spell save DC, on a failed save an affected creature's speed is halved until the start of your next turn.
If you target a nonmagical object that isn't a creature it freezes instantly until the start of your next turn. This feature has no effect on creatures with cold immunity.
Blessing from Mother Winter
At 18th level, you gain the ability to harness the blessing of the Mother Winter. You know Wall of Ice and It doesn't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.
As an action you can magically become an avatar of the winter, emanating from you a 20 feet radius aura as a blizzard that is difficult terrain and last 1 minute having the following properties:
- You gain immunity to cold damage.
- You can freeze water as you come near to it, creating difficult terrain that you can walk across.
- When a creature moves into the area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there takes half your sorcerer level as cold damage.
- You are not affected by this aura.
- When you use this feature, you can designate any number of creatures you can see to be unaffected by it.
Once you use this feature, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest or until you expend 5 sorcery points.
