Enlightment? Self perfection? Pacifiscm?! Bah! You know better. With the study of martial arts, you can harm and cripple foes who underestimate an unarmored, unarmed combatant. Your study into these deadly, tainted forms of ki channeling has likely barred you from the monastary and set you on a dark path: the way of the miasma.

Caustic Stance

At 3rd level you may spend 2 ki points as a bonus action to enter a stance fueled by your study of tainted ki. For the next 10 minutes, your hands, feet, and any monk weapons you use glow with the dark ki energy, and you gain the following benefits:

• Your martial arts dice damage type becomes Poison, Acid, or Necrotic damage, instead of its normal type. You must choose the type when you activate the stance, and you can spend 1 ki point to change the type as a bonus action.

• Creatures who take damage from your martial arts damage dice can’t regain hitpoints until the start of your next turn.

• You may spend 1 ki point when you deal damage with your martial arts dice to reroll the damage dealt, but you must accept the new roll.

Freed from the Material

At 6th level your dark ki begins to detatch your body from the material plane. While in your caustic stance, you gain the additional following benefits:

• Your attacks deal double damage to unattended, inanimate objects, and their damage threshold is reduced by 5.

• You may pass through solid objects such as walls up to 20 ft thick, as if they were affected by the spell passwall, however the passage only works for you.

The Miasma

Starting at 11th level, you can prematurely end your caustic stance to spread disease. Instead of dealing damage with your martial arts dice while in caustic stance, you may instead make the creature that would take damage become the target of a successful Contagion spell. You choose the disease, and the constitution saving throws the creature makes are determined by your Ki Save DC. After casting Contagion in this way, your caustic stance ends.

Hatred Incarnate

At 17th level, your body becomes infused with dark ki energy completely. You have resistance to slashing, bludgeoning, piercing, poison, acid, and necrotic damage.
